    Default Melee Weapons

The answer is probably the obvious choice, but just for clarification:

I have both Soliton Blades, a Smoldering Island Dagger, and a Pathfinder's Shiv. Running a melee spec (Bloodstalker, primarily), is it better to use the SID and Shiv because of their higher dps, despite losing a good deal of attack power? And for ranged dps (MM, Ranger, Sab), are the two Soliton Blades better because of the AP since the melee dps isn't a factor?

My PA is fully maxed out on potential Tier 1 and 2 improvements.

For BS, run highest dps weapon in your main-hand (SID > Shiv), for off-hand use the highest AP weapon you have (in this case, Soliton Blade). There are no off-hand attacks in BS spec, so the OH weapon is a stat stick.

For ranged, yes use 2x Soliton since the damage is based off your ranged weapon, melee weapons are stat sticks.
