    Default Anthem of Competence Agro

OMG! The amount of aggro this generates for me is crazy. I have had mods totally ignore the tank and jump over the raid members in front of me just to have a chance to pop me right in the face for having Anthem of Competence up.

Is there ANYONE having the same issues. I have double checked and made SURE I had nothing running besides that anthem. No motiffs were up, etc and I get crazy aggro.

Fervor will do the same thing. As will the resistance buff, and the armor buff. Maybe ask the tank to not pull with a taunt. Or, wait to apply your anthem, until after the tank has agro.

Tell the tank to use an AoE attack

Archon auras will do the same, it's usually just not noticeable because there's never an Archon without a Bard and the Bard pulls more with Motifs :P

the issue is that you have what I would call an active buff.. or aura, which is constantly monitoring each persons proximity to you, such buffs tend to draw alot of aggro, especially if the "tank" is simply face pulling w/o using any threat abilities. Make sure they understand this, if they refuse to be a good tank, simply deny them all buffs pre combat to avoid threat, as the threat from our buffs is active and will agro any NPC mobs, even if you have abilities like slip away active, (or use of the sneak-o-matic).

The line you need to use in response is:

"Sorry, I didn't realise you were going to face pull"
