    Default Please BUFF RANGER's ...

    Attack Range.

    By removing minimum attack range please.

    Having to stand 5m away from target gets old.

    Pretty much the only class in the game with a minimum attack range which is dumb.

    It's silly that melee dps have to suffer a significant, sometimes total, dps penalty when they have to back out of melee range. But ranged dps have no penalty at all for moving IN to melee range. Unless they're rogues. I think mechanics would be more interesting and different dps builds more relevant, if there were considerations for both.

    However, as long as no other ranged soul in the game has a penalty for being up close and personal, Ranger shouldn't either.

    Ranger have the pets. And it's a different concept from the MM. And even the MM have to spend pt to buy the passive to allow him to shot at close range, which is more pts you have to invest in that soul if you wanna make a hybrid and still being able to shot at close quarter. Point you could use on another skill and all.

    If you're using Marksman as a main soul for PvE, you always put in 51 points.

    Yeah, it's too bad the ironically named "synergy" crystals killed synergy and forced us all into 51 pt builds. The new attack power passives had some effect towards this as well. Otherwise we could run mixed marksman/ranger builds for close quarters combat.

    "Synergy" refers to armor pieces.

    As soon as Trion put in "increases X% for every point" attributes they effectively killed hybrids, 17 Assassin the notable exception.

    I was unaware mages and clerics can't cast things close. It would seem to me minimum range talents are more the rarity among all the souls. It's not even close to just a rogue thing.

    Technically...wouldn't that be the very definition of a "Rogue Thing" if only rogues are affected by it?

    Anyone tried 28rng-38mm with the ranger crystal in a while? I wonder if it's decent.

    It hasn't been an issue anywhere other than maybe someone getting up in your face in pvp.

    It's a QoL issue, not a balance issue. The fact that it doesn't impact performance doesn't mean it's good design.
