Default Quick low level Marksman question

    Hey,

Am really enjoying the Marksman and making up some macros as I go along. My question is : is it worthwhile putting splinter shot (from the ranger tree) into my combo point builder macro?

Currently my builder macros is splinter shot -> empowered shot -> swift shot. However, splinter shot does not seem to fit the rotation well, and i seem to be wasting a combo point by reapplying the bleed (by this i mean splinter shot is of CD when I am at 4 combo points, and thus casting splinter shot 'wastes' a combo point).

I'm quite the newb at mmo's so any tips would be appreciated

    Thanks

At lower levels, no. Once you hit level 50, you can use the ranger synergy crystal which makes Splinter Shot instant cast, at which point you should start using it.

At lower levels just spam swift shot and your finisher. Only use empowered shot in pvp if you need extra burst before a RFS. Before the synergy crystals those cast time abilitiss are a dps loss.

MM = Bottom of the dps food chain OR utility.

In my opinion it's bad practice to put higher energy cost skills in the same macro as lower energy cost skills especially if it's a builder you typically spam.

Marksman and Ranger builds are fairly easy to play anyway so there's no real justification for putting everything into a monolithic macro.

Thanks for the responses. I will just stick to what Zyzyx recommended.

I guess i may have over complicated things!

Also Zazen, thanks for the advice on macros, will defiantly take that into account when i level up and rethink macros etc

false. research a little harder and you'll find MM specs with better utility than ranger in raids.
