    Default Ranger- Deadeye Shot Question

    When running 51 ranger would it be better to use Deadeye Shot as a finisher instead of Head Shot?

    From what I see Deadeye Shot's cast time allows for some energy regen so we aren't energy starved during builder rotation. I am not sure if in a raid setting this extra energy will translate to more dps.

    I would appreciate any advice on this question, thanks.

    i dont use it.... im not feeling starved inRaid.

    in Random Ini or when i dont have energyreduce i use it

    It can't proc your ranger crystal 4 set bonus. Its a marksman ability.

    DPS loss, dont use it.

    I'm not sure which is best tbh. Someone posted that they got a 4.5k parse with deadeye so I spent a couple of hours checking it out. Another rogue in guild found no increase and decided to stick with head shot. I found with playing around it's a bit of an increase but not too much.

    We decided to each try a different version of ranger in a raid at the same time to see which does more. It's possible with the cast time on deadeye (ap scaling) plus archon buff deadeye will end up being more dps.

    With RNG it's difficult to determine which is best, I had to parse 5mins+ but I'd say:

    Deadeye casting QS only after expiring > My headshot rotation > One button Deadeye > One button head shot.

    ONLY use Deadeye with Bull's Eye. E.G. it is only a gain in heavy MM builds, and ONLY when, I repeat, it is auto-critted with Bull's Eye, with talent points specced for increased damage.

    Heavy ranger builds should NOT use it.

    You're not deep enough in MM to pick up Sniper Training(Increased DMG to cast time abilites) to make it useful.

    As someone else mentioned it also won't proc Ranger Crystal.

    Answer is no. Use Head Shot.

    you can use deadeye and still maintain 100% uptime from ranger crystal, it seems like people assume it only procs off finishers or something.

    until somebody else does 4.5k in ranger, i'm going to assume that deadeye is better because i can do math.

    Stand by my statement, DPS loss. Parsed it before over HS when 1.8 went live. Its not a dps increase to freaking 51 MM and they get extra bonuses to deadeye shot vs 51 ranger.
