Rogues are the cowards choice of class and they are the destruction of all MMO's in general and yet even Trion the most innovative maker of MMO in history is following the same path to destruction. Sad truly SAD.
Rogues are fine. Heck, most of the people who play rogues are fine. The class does have some kind of magical pheremone that attracts a few magnificent whiners, though. Sometimes I want to just take them off my ignore list and browse their posts as a drinking game.
You can play WoW in any MMO. You don't have to play WoW in RIFT. Oh, and no, RIFT is not a WoW clone. Not having fun any more? Learn to play, noob! I don't speak for Riftui, but I moderate stuff there. Just came back? Welcome back! Here's what's changed. (Updated for 2.5!)
Argh, you're onto us!

Clearly you are talking from a PvP standpoint. Yes, stealth and stun makes rogues great against a single target, BUT, as long as you have someone with you, the rogue will go down. Or if its a matter of being kited (the way I play my rogue), a simple stun or snare (pretty sure most classes have access to at least one, fairly early even) will take care of it. You have no idea how annoying it is when I get stunned or snared on my rogue!
If you mean perma-invisibility and slip away are bad OP cheese mechanics (especially for open world), then I agree and I have a rogue.
Not all games use the same mindless "stealth" system though, EvE, Darkfall, GW2 (I think there is just temporary stealth, as I am avoiding beta).

Come, join the dark side!
Before you post again, there is something you should know about us, Yildez. I am your father's, brother's, nephew's, cousin's former roommate's rogue character!
Never underestimate the power of the Schwartz, er Rogue!
*My guild was looking (in Rift) for engaging, meaningful additional outdoor endgame that is inclusive, dynamic, community-oriented, scaling, and strategic -- Real outdoor, persistent-world challenges that require thought, strategy, and cooperation.*
Outdoor RvE for both PvE & PvP
I would note that this post comes from the same bloke who gave us this gem of insight into Chloromancer.
Same wonderful employment of Comic Sans and extra large, extra colorful commentary. I must say, sir, summon forth additional entertainment on these forums! That font selection is absolutely capital!
It's warriors this month. Try to keep up.

Rogues destroy MMOs in the way that any class destroys MMOs - for you. Just because you have a problem with a particular class doesn't mean that they are breaking the game. You disagree with the "tactful" gameplay of the Rogue class then perhaps you need to more thoroughly investigate ways to counter them rather than proclaiming that they are destroying the game. All too often people encounter something they find challenging and all of a sudden it is labelled as "OP" and needing a nerf. Good players of any class are always going to stand out.
Personally I find healing Clerics to be quite a pain but it is a valid playstyle just as the Rogue class is. Just because I personally find them a challenge doesn't mean I want them changed; I just need to adapt.
We could just make generalisations about all the classes:
Rogue - Played by cowards.
Warriors - Played by people with anger management issues.
Clerics - Played by those of any religious following.
Mages - Played by... you get the idea.
That is hardly sensible now though, is it?A player's choice of class has little bearing on their personal characteristics. I play what I find to be fun regardless of how closely it aligns to myself. At least this thread is a change to the complaints about Warriors - nice to have some variety.

Roleplay Character - Himo (Level 50 Elf Cleric) <The Clandestine>
PvE/PvP Character - Katketty (Level 50 High Elf Rogue) <Crucio Sanctorum>
So, hmm..can you tell us how you really feel?
I got the impression you don't like rogues? Can you elaborate?
this has some potential.
