Default Coda of Jeopardy Variation in Raids

    Hey,

I have a question for everyone. On the dummy coda of jeopardy hits for the same amount every attack and the damage doesn't fluctuate.

In our raids, we have people applying debuffs, etc... but I've noticed coda of jeopardy fluctuates like crazy in our logs. Anyone have any idea of what's going on? When I say it fluctuates.... I mean it fluctuates like crazy and goes between 400-520, is this similar to how it's acting in other people's raids? Is it people not maintaining debuffs or overwriting better ones... or is it some mechanic I'm not aware of?

Armor debuffs and the number is wonky for the bard that applies it. It can crit on the first tick, I think it gets effected by Deafening Music, etc. Should be static for everyone but the bard, though.

Can you confirm that looking through your raid's logs? People say they're applying the debuffs so I don't want to bring it up as an issue unnecessarily unless it's specific to our raids.

Looking through my logs I found what the problem was.

The armor penetration from MM is counting towards Coda of Jeopardy.

    Edit2:

Funny, something else is effecting it, too. I was hitting CoJ for higher than the MMs were while in BS, which means I have 5% less A. Pen.

It's solely the rogues hitting for higher. Saw hits 700-900 for the bard applying, as in when the first tick crit.

didnt they say SO would be normalized so everyone had the same benefit. Instant attacks getting less benefits that long casts and such. at the end, if everyone had 100% up time the benefit should be the same. So things like Emp Shot and Splinter might get a higher damage because they are supposed to be a cast.

I said my CoJ was hitting harder as BS than them as MM.

Only Rogues had a different number. No one ran NB or BD last raid(except for me on Matron) so I can't say if it is 100% the armor penetration, but I'm thinking that is it as it is unique to rogue.

But that doesn't explain why I was seeing 528(other rogues in MM) compared to 552(me, in BS).

Mages, Clerics, and Warriors were always static at 444. Bard did 487.

    This was Murd.

    Matron was:

    553 (Me, BD),
    536(MM rogues)
    494(Bard)
    450(everyone else)

    Sicaron was:
    731(Bard)
    555(Me, BS)
    528(MM Rogues)
    444(Everyone else)

    Vlad was:
    555(Me, BS)
    533(MM Rogues)
    492(Bard)
    448(Everyone else)

So something is up with rogues, at least any spec with armor penetration.

I notice my own coda of jeopardy number fluctuating a lot, is that missed buffs/debuffs or is something else going on?

Guessing you read my other topic, but I'd assume it's CoJ hitting during:

    A) Wild Growth

    or

    B) When Stalker Phase buff wears off, mosty commonly during Shadow Stalk rotation.
