    Default New Build DoggyStyle

Been experimenting with builds since patch and made this:

    I dub this, "DoggyStyle."

First off this is just an experiment and I realize everyone has different styles and philosophies. I use this build more for Ember Island, but I have pvped with it in war-fronts and seems to do quite well so far.

    Build: http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0M...R0V0z.GVRcxRfV

    Build Macro:

    #show Backstab
    cast Backstab
    cast Puncture
    cast phantom blow
    cast savage strike
    cast Expose Weakness
    cast twin strike
    cast side steps

    Warp Drive Captain:

    #show shadow assault
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast shadow assault
    cast shadow blitz
    cast shadow stalk
    cast shadow shift

    Finisher#1

    #show final blow
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast poison malice
    cast final blow

    Finisher#2

    #show annihilate
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast poison malice
    cast annihilate

    #show stalker phase
    cast [notactive] stalker phase
    cast [notactive] Guardian phase

The back story about this build. I was thouroughly impressed with: http://www.dunsparrow.com/2011/11/li...g-majesty.html All props go out to this guy. Since the new patch gave us rogues the Planar Reversal buff I felt we had to capitalize on it. I felt the best tree to go into would be the Assassin tree. Sins have a lot of attacks that can take advantage from behind. Wait that sounds gay sorry about that lol.
If you are gay well never mind I'm going off in another direction.

Buffs: Baneful touch, Lethal poison, Leeching poison, Planebound resilience, Combat pose, Stalker or Guardian Phase-( I prefer stalker), Planar Reversal.

I also have rift Prison in this build. I think this skill is must for pvp situations. Learn to use it thats my advice.

Feel free to give it a test drive. It has few macros and is easy to use.

    Rotation:

    1. Macro: Warp Drive Captain
    2. Macro: Build Macro
    3. Macro: Finisher#1
    4. Macro: Finisher#2

Use rift prison to get away or piss someone off. Many ways to use this skill and win a fight. Also, Cut and run is available if you get stunned or whatever.

I believe in keeping stuff simple.

I know this build has flaws and maybe this or that needs improvement so don't troll me. This is just something I thought I would share.

    Merry Christmas

    Default Update:

    Build Macro:

    #show Backstab
    cast Backstab
    cast Puncture
    cast phantom blow
    cast savage strike
    cast Expose Weakness
    cast twin strike
    cast side steps

    Twin strike is optional:

    Works great like this to:

    Build Macro:

    #show Backstab
    cast Backstab
    cast Puncture
    cast phantom blow
    cast savage strike
    cast Expose Weakness
    cast side steps

    Don't macro Phantom Blow.

    Reasons:

    1) Hit hits like crap, might as well use Planar Strike
    2) The CD is far shorter than the duration, so you are gimping your DPS for no added gain.

Also, Twin Strike will never trigger in your macro, as Savage Strike is ahead of it.
Don't macro in Side Steps, use it when you need it.

    .
Yes and No, in a 1v1 or pve point of view :you are definitly right.
But when it's about WF, team fights etc, I m not sure it's worth bothering at all.
    For the following reasons :
-1)You can spam once every 10s and it lasts 20s. So it's only 1 loss over 20 GCD.
-2)Your target shouldn't stay alive more than 10s with a decent assist. Otherwise you should maybe go to another one...
-3)It's really something you don't want to focus on during a fight (repetitiv check on it, quite low effect etc...).

UNLESS you use a 'buff check' addon .

I refuse to play anything name Doggystyle. Come up with a better name.

Just remember to hit it every fourth finisher.

Points in BD are baffling. Otherwise, it seems generic and mediocre.

There is no such thing as a "well rounded" build that is good at everything, so if you want to use something in warfronts, build it for warfronts. There's no sense in trying to make a build that works in both Ember Isle and pvp at the same time. I would say this spec is fine for EI, but leave the warfront part out or you're just going to get ridiculed because you have 34 points in assassin and you're not specced into some very key abilities that make assassin specs so potent in pvp.

I suggest making a separate build for pvp altogether and not naming it something ridiculous.

NB/RS is actually quite a good grinding build, just have to learn not to rely on Leeching Poison.

NB/RS gets no real stealth, so it's susceptible to being ganked. There, continue your argument for no all around build ;)

But I agree with your original point... you have 5 roles, use them...
    Snuggles - R40 Rogue : Snugglybear - R36 Mage
    <The Purge> - Seastone Server

    No physical trauma

    no enduring brew

34 points into Sin but no perma stealth or slip away

you picked 5 into shadow guard when you should only go 1

you picked 1 point into shadow gaurd (1% physical mitigation) over Planar Refuge (30% less damage taken from all sources for 10 secs)

No sprint after port and no snare/stun immunity after port

2 into poison potency? Really? Instead of Physical Trauma or something actually good?

6 into BD? Either go 0 for side-steps only or go deeper in to actually get something useful

Also, you chose 5 hit rating over reprisal....

Twin strike below savage strike? You realize that will NEVER go off.

Side steps macrod into your spammer?

Non-target ports macrod into your target ports?

I.......I don't know what to say.
