Default Trion~ Please explain "Sharpshooter" in MM tree.

I've tested this myself and I can't seem to come to any conclusive results.. or that putting the points in this talent is even doing anything at all.

If we assume that the 1~3% = 5 hit then it should be adding 15hit. However on 3 different hit tiers, gimping myself 15 hit under.. it appears that is not filling that gap.

If we assume its 1~3% of your current hit then you're telling me that when we're @300 hit we get an extra 10? That seems silly before even bothering to test it.

Can you please tell us what exactly this is doing? And why the other trees that get hit/focus talents get those talents visually reflected in their stat windows?

It's not a huge deal, but its 3 points.. and honestly its either doing nothing or very little. A little clarification would be nice.

    Thanks, Toku.

It gives you 3% hit, which is 15 hit rating, it just isn't shown on your character sheet (because it only applies to range weapon attacks). Take the hit requirement for any tier, remove 15, thats what you need to have to be capped with 3/3 sharpshooter.

The issue im getting at is that we are forced to ~Guess~ what this talent is doing. I'm asking for some kind of conformation or a visual stat increase.

Whether people assume its working or not there is no way to tell if its meant to be 1~3% of your current hit, or 1~3% meaning 5-15 hit.

and the only person who can answer this works for Trion.

That or you can take the word of someone who raided with 306 hit in HK for 2 months with the talent and never seen a miss, dodge, or parry.

Look at your tooltip in game and do the math.

Confirm where trion said anything about 99% of the mechanics and talents in game which are also working as intended.

    You're being a ****.

Good luck on getting a dev's response, lol.

3% = 15 hit, just look at your stats, simple math. It doesnt show in the tool tip because its for ranged weapons only.

It's ok Toku, your hit rating also shows how many percent it equals.

Finding out that 5 hit rating equals 1% is highly sophisticated rocketscience super math.

I bet you've checked hit/miss/dodge on the target dummy too? (Which does not factor in correct +hit needs anyway).

And all your questions have been answered already..

Thanks for reading Toku, I won't come back to your thread.

    This isn't opinion.

Take off all your armor, and be in a spec that has no +hit (no MM, no BD).
Switch to MM. See your Hit rating stay at 0.
Switch to BD, see your Hit rating jump to 25.

This establishes that MM will not change tooltip Hit.

Simple math will tell you what amount of Hit = % Hit.

Aillion already knows about this issue. I don't think he plans on changing it because of what adnoz says here.

I have been running 305 hit in my MM spec for a while and I don't miss in HK or RotP (or if I do I don't notice at all).
