Marksman PvP: Dagger or Sword
It might be a personal preference, but would it seem better to have two daggers, two swords, or one of each for a marksman.
Nihilist's Shiv rank 8 dagger has physical crit and high dex, while conquerors longsword rank 8 sword has attack power. What is your choice?
I went with AP swords as Crit cap is easy to hit. I also went all AA points in sword and gun, a good few dps added me thinks
Depends on Crit level (if close to cap) then AP
Otherwise Dex + Crit over AP any day of the week.
Anyone who is prestige rank 8 or close to it and can say whether it is easy to cap crit in his pvp gear? I am still trying to decide which one to choose.
1) You don't hit crit cap in full R8 (outside maybe bringing a full sigil of PVE crit lessers... which is dumb).
2) You lose an outrageous amount of crit for these AP, as the Swords have Str > Dex.
3) Crit is king in PVP.
=> Daggers all the way.
Daggers. You won't reach the crit soft cap without +%dex talents and you won't have those in a good MM PvP spec.
i have a pair of r8 swords and a pair of r8 daggers. Now i dont know how or why but i kill a lot faster with swords then daggers and anyone who has both pairs will tell you the same tihng

But being a tad spiky against hard targets is much more beneficial in PVP than lower damage easily countered by heals.
Plus it seems you're running 51 MM who gets more out of AP.
Hint: 51 MM is far from the best spec for PVP.
