    Default An aspiring video maker.

So, I am looking to be making some pvp videos of rogue pvp.

I want to use various builds, and I'd be interested in potential builds or obscure builds that folks might want to see in action as a fully geared Rank 8.

I am not interested in any claims as to be good or bad, I just would like the videos I post to be an entertaining look at what Rogue pvp looks like.

I will be using windows movie maker with videos captured using the ingame recording tool.

Any hints, tricks, or tips would be much appreciated.

You can find me on Milrush Defiant side as Serna.

    Ciao.

    P.S. Music suggestions also welcome.

If you make a pvp video you need to showcase something interesting which could either be skill/fun/cool things.

Use GOOD music that isn't mainstream. I love watching wow pvp videos that opened me up to new bands/artists I've never heard before but fit the video.

Have the song match the pace of combat.

Avoid lots of tricks and effects unless you know what you're doing.

    That should help.

WMM is pretty limited on what you can do, so i would say keep it simple and focus more on the action then adding fluff. As a rogue POV filmer myself I like doing it in double speed, but if your trying to highlight the combat, it may not works so well.

As far as music, I agree with the above poster, go with non-mainstream if you can but it MUST match the pace of your films.

If you have any questions feel free to hit me up.

I capture with Fraps and edit with Sony Vegas. I haven't used the in game tool, but I want the captured video to be as high-quality as possible

    Default Thanks

    Thanks for the advice.

I plan to leave out fluffy edits and captions and stuff like that until I can get that hang of it.

Already with my first video ive found it hard to splice out the running around crap and just save the fights with a few seconds before and after.

And I wasnt expecting it to record the pandora channel that I had on at the time.

Think it was a Dea5mouse channel.

Can I post the video with streaming music like that ?

    Ciao,

    Serna

you can use my MM build makes for great videos you can see couple sample videos I recorded in the thread. .I just use Windows Live Movie maker it's come a long way over the years and you can actually do some pretty cool stuff with it if you want to take the time(I didn't edit the videos in my MM build thread at all though just put in music). Just don't make another 51MM video they are snooze fests:P

Warfronts need segregation of the Tiers. 1-5 and 6-8 or pre-50 pvp will be the most enjoyable PVP in the game.

    44 Bard / 15 INF / 7 Sabo

Really make yourself a threat on offense, throw your long range bombs constantly, stack people with charges and let them rest until that player is being bursted, switch, riff, detonate. Make spectacular use of the on demand single target heal debuff. Show superior kiting and positioning skills to do all this and stay alive Use your AoE mez to mez at least half their team at one time, use virtuoso to AoE down an unsuspecting group, use virtuoso to heal up your team in the face of rediculous FF. Show pure battle field control with your AoE snare + single target mez

12 sabo is dope too for the stun reduction, but i really think the inf bard is more offensive with the heal debuff, and i was trying to put together the most offensive "pure" bard i could. I have run this build for awhile, it is ******edly fun to play, and challenging with all the warping melee and mm's running around (by pure I mean has the group verse of vitality at least, or non-32point battle bard)

    Default Offensive Bard

    I've had a crazy bard / bd / inf and a bard / bd / rs

Will have to try out bard with sabo.

    Good stuff !

Kinda neat this morning the first time I've ever recorded in game and it was a stellar whitefall, and after that I got a nice Library recording using a spec I had just put together a few moments previous to accepting the instance.

    38 nb /28 rs / 0 inf I was using 38 nb / 18 rs / 10 inf.

I love the toys from rs. Will work on getting the links up for it but Im still learning how to splice or trim just my fight scenes together.

    Ciao.
