Default Should I be using macros?

I'm not the type to use them .. but I keep seeing people with 5-6
On my healing cleric I only have 2..
But anyway, Is there any crucial or helpful macro's to use with a MM?
*I'm not trying to make my playing any way easier or 'spammable' .. Its easy enough spamming fan out and lightning fury every 7 seconds ;) I joke, I joke.

Then you shouldn't feel pressured to use them. You don't have to use them to play well. Everyone has their individual play styles.

mm doesnt need them at all, i use them to macro generally 2 abilities together since 1 has a cooldown and is better than the other (LF > FO, CS > QS, RFS > DE) and that's bout it for my mm macros, the rest is all bout rotation

Some (lazy) people macro too many things together and then they are the ones at a disadvantage. It all depends on what you macro and why. Use some common sense and you'll be ok.

I didn't mean to come off as rude. Just opinionated.

macros depends mostly on soul combos.. i personally have at least two macros with pretty much every build.. just depends on what makes most sense to macro.. for example with my mage theres lots of abilities that have cast times and lot that are instant if you macro them together with the cast time one above the instant as long as you are standing still you will only cast the cast time spell(assuming it has no CD) and if I'm moving it will cast the instant cast spell..

Other times you want to use macros is on abilities with cooldowns that you would generally always want to use like melee abilities such as dusk strike.. theres tons of abilities and especially in PVP you don't have time to remember 30+ buttons or have time to react fast enough to get things off when you want them so use macros.. just use them wisely
Warfronts need segregation of the Tiers. 1-5 and 6-8 or pre-50 pvp will be the most enjoyable PVP in the game.

Simple macros are great to use, it's not being lazy, it's optimizing your gameplay, at least in my opinion. Like on my MM spec, I use 3, with my MM/Ranger build for PvE.

    Single Target:
    #show Crippling Shot
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast Crippling Shot
    cast Quick Shot

    AoE:
    #show Lightning Fury
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast Lightning Fury
    cast Fan Out

    Finisher:
    #show Rapid Fire Shot
    cast Rapid Fire Shot
    cast Deadeye Shot
    cast Hasted Shot

All these macros do, is make sure that you are firing off the abilities you need, to keep them on cooldown and optimize what you are doing. Sure, the argument could be made that macros aren't needed, but then you'd also need an inordinate amount of hotkeys. Those abilities listed are by no means all the buttons I use, and they would take up 7 hotkey slots with just them, and many more still needed. With the macros, I can keep my bars small and only have abilities I need to use on easily accessible buttons, rather than having to take my hands off the keyboard to really stretch. I use alt modifiers, shift modifiers, and just plain Letter keys all bound so that they are all easily reachable by just my left hand without it having to leave the movement keys.

    Hope that helps some.
