Default New to Rift. Sab = glass cannon?

Hi, I just signed up for Rift, and I've got a lvl 21 Sab. I've got a problem, he's a total glass cannon. He can deal out a ton of damage, but any serious attack gets him almost instantly. Low defense, low health.

For example, I try to kill the "Unseen Agent" or Jakub in the Iron Fortress, I can't get them below around 40% health. Then I see a level 16 cleric stroll in and pound away, killing both in a short timeframe. Seriously!?!?!?!?

I currently have put points into Sab at every level, maxing out Nimble Fingers, Remote Clipping, Silent Setup, Combat Survival, Increased Explosive Power, and Charge Booster. I also have a few misc. points in Ranger (4 points in Eagle Eye for increased Crit) and Bard (points in Good Health for more Health).

I'm not planning on going more than about 30-31 points into Sab (Improved Detonate, Annihilation Bomb, Demolition Specialist, Residual Shrapnel, and maybe Time Bomb), with the rest going to the Ranger for pets and the Bard for buffs.

    Please help.

    Thanks!

Use 4 point ranger until level 30, then switch to riftstalker/bladedancer. Don't bother with sab until 50.

Sab is very squishy. For leveling, it's not the best option. I'd recommend using a riftstalker/bladedancer combination or riftstalker/assassin. If you put 13 points in riftstalker it should make leveling much easier with the self-heals you'll be getting. BD has some nice defensive cooldowns for soloing elites.

Really, 13 RS plus any melee soul is a better (read: easier) choice for leveling.

    One other general question.

Am I the only one who CONSTANTLY runs out of Energy? Before I'm all the way through any decent-sized battle (more than about 2 normal enemies, or one major enemy), I'm stuck waiting on energy to refill before I can use my next attack. Does any soul have the ability to increase the amount or recharge of energy?

BD recharges energy when you kill something with combo points. They plan to increase the energy regeneration of all rogues from 20 energy per second to 22 energy per second because it is pretty bad right now with how energy starved rogues are without a chloro/bard.
