Yeah, that'd probably be the "most accepted" spec. for tanking. Just bear in mind you don't really need more than 44 points in Riftstalker until you raid or, perhaps, hit T2s. Unless then you could easily get away with dumping 22 points into Bladedancer, 13 into Saboteur and 9 into Bard, and other mixtures of Bard, Ranger, and Bladedancer for up to 22 points.

Any more than that and you'll lose Planar Attraction which is rather nice to have available.

8 BD / 10 NB : http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0M...qzokkR.x0d.V0p - Please note that this leaves 4 spare points, I'm tired and lazy so didn't feel like laying out 2/5 Combat Expertise and 2/5 Ambidextrous in one build and 2/2 Melted Skin and 2/3 Fire and Death Attunement in another.

Any rate, I'm sure you get the picture. The Nightblade and Saboteur builds are built around AoE threat or rather shoring up the deficiencies Riftstalkers have in generating it at times. Saboteur can also be used to help smooth out that initial damage hump healers are all too often faced with when getting Riftstalker tanks.

The builds revolving around mixes of Bard, Ranger, and Bladedancer are more traditional and more likely to be accepted, and going 22 deep into Bladedancer does have its merit. I've worked with it once myself and while I wasn't too sure I liked the feel of it it did the job of T1 tanking handily enough.

Also please note that any build with a minimum of 12 points in Bladedancer gets you an interrupt. One thing I've noticed a lot of is that if you want something done you need to do it yourself all too often. As such having an interrupt as a tank can be a very, very useful thing.

On a side note, hasn't the preferred Riftstalker tanking build, debates about merits between Bard, Ranger, and Bladedancer aside, been fairly static for the last couple months?
