Default Anyone else notice wierdness with the Vigilante's rifle?

Something is weird about this gun. Using it just does not feel right. I can't put my finger on it, but when I switch back to my Runecarved Bow, everything seems fine again. Anyone else notice this or am I crazy?

Gun fire hits your target instantly. Bow shots have travel time.

Rain of Arrows turns into Rain of Bullets when used with a gun as well.

Not incorrect. Gun also doesn't have tracer attached, so another (slight) advantage in pvp.

Something is wrong with the gun tho. I was using the bow, perfectly happy with my MM. Switch to the gun, hated my MM. Now that I've switched back, I love it again. I hope there is an R8 defiant bow.

There's almost (or again, slightly over) 1 second travel time on bows. This absolutely huge if you're for example defending whitefall flag at max range from riftstalkers to keep out of prison. Not opinion based, guns are blatantly better than bows.
I'm really really hoping defiants dont get screwed with a R8 bow like guardians have with their R6 bow.

Edit: Swapping between bow and gun, I think I can feel the difference the OP is talking about, it certainly feels much smoother to play witht he bow, I think it's because you're hitting the skill, then you see damage happen aswell as the animation, where as with gun it's just hit skill, damage pop, then you're waiting for your GCD. I still pref gun for the combat advantages though.

I thought the bows fire right when you use an ability but the guns fire slightly after making them hit at about the same time depending on distance.

Correct. The only disadvantages to using a bow is trace fire, and that rain of arrows shows a bazillion arrows stuck on peoples feet so they move.

Really, you use Rain of Arrows in PvP? Scratch that.

Really, you play Ranger in PvP?
