    Thumbs down Durnes' Plundering V Durnes' Pillaging sets

    I thought Zam was lying to me so I hopped onto a lowbie guardian alt and ran over to the vendor NPC to check it out. Turns out Zam was right.

    Nope. Other pieces are identical.

    Edit: I didn't check the Rogue Tank set or any of the other class sets.

    Same reasoning behind why Perpetual Light uses two less Essence of Berith than it's Defiant counterpart: Guardians are favored.

    we have a soul recall to our capital city that they do not (theirs has 3 charges) but they have a neigh BiS greater essence they can get at level 47

    Really, this makes me angry. We're not even talking about dissimilar item types or consumables or crafting mats.. We're talking about the BiS tiered PVE set items that are otherwise identical. Their version is just flat better for no real reason.

    And as for that greater, yeah, it would be BiS if I had access to it. Shame that I don't.

    We get a pre-raid quality neck, you get a BiS greater. That's not exactly a fair trade.

    Default guardians obviously favored

    Guardians are obviously favored in rift...

    1) Maps

    Yea leveling maps are slightly tilted towards the guardian favor, esp respawn points, and dungeon locations.

    2) Gear

    Yea, there are countless gear that guardians have it better than defiant, op just listed 2 end-game BiS...
    And they complain the trinket vs their BiS greater essence ??? lmaoz

    3) Essence

    BiS Great essence +50 ap/sp vs a trinket that allows you to do a port for free.

    4) PvP maps

    This is the MOST ridiculous. For anyone who pvps:

    Black Garden: Yea Los point is like slightly better than defiants

    Whitefall: Haven noticed much diff

    Codex: Anyone noticed that their bridge is made of stone and mostly cover their entire body length, which defiant's bridge is made of cardboard wood and is nearer to the ground so anyone can hit you from below. And side wall of rocks leading to the codex, the one at the pond side, guardians have a direct climb point to codex.

    Port of Scion: This is the MOST ridiculous one, just look at the bloody map, defiants reinforcing raid at defiant boss is open from top down free hits from the guardians who are attacking. The path leading to our boss is made so that we are basically free frags when we want to reinforce the raid. Whereas guardians path leading to the boss are SOOOOO much better shielded that allows time for them to regrp and do a direct frontal attack. This is game breaking.

    Interesting points and normally I'd welcome the Warfront discussion, but let's not get distracted or mired down in things that could be construed as vague or opinion.

    I'm not talking about intangibles and I'm not talking about abstracts. I'm not trying to get into tactical advantage or flavor items or quests or leveling areas.

    The question is why the items in my OP aren't identical. This is base, uninfluenced stat for stat fact. They are flat out better for no reason at all.

    Send in a ticket, Im sure they wouldnt mind changing it. Seems really stupid to have different stats... why they need different gear at all I dont know.
