    Default Nexus PVP Build 1.3

    Well,

Due to popular demand, I've decided to post my PVP Rogue Spec.

I've tried many other PVP specs, but I don't think any of them are as fun and/or effective as this.

It does very well against all classes, and is almost certain to win 1v1, even against other rogues (R6 included). This spec also handles group situations very well.

This spec does take a certain amount of skill to play, so don't fret if at first, the spec seems terrible.

    Pros:

    - 6 Blinks on Separate CD's
    - LARGE Bleed Damage
    - Rift Prism & Blind CC Combined with spammable snare
    - 2 Separate Break-free Blinks (Movement and all CC)
    - Perma Stealth
    - Movement % Increase
    - Slip Away
    - Uber Survivability
    - Plenty of Utility

    Cons:

    - Not as much burst as 51AS

    Rotation:
    Opening:

    1. Set your Memory Capture for 50m blink and break-free (to kite once your bleeds are on, or to escape)
    2. Expose Weakness
    3. Shadow Stalk, Shift or Warp towards target for 15% increase crit chance
    4. Open with Jagged Strike
    5. Backstab/Savage Strike
    6. Puncture
    7. Impale

Optional: I like to include Poison Malice after I have landed Jagged Strike, but this is up to you.

    A. From this point, you can either continue spamming your any-time move, while keeping your 15% crit buff up from blinking.

    B. You could also blink and kite with your ranger using Quick Strike and Head-shot from range.

    Finishers:
Short Fight - Final Blow / Head Shot
Longer Fights - Annihilate, Final Blow / Head Shot

    Macros:

    Personally, I don't use Macros for PVP as I like to be able to do things exactly when I want them without Macros getting in the way. But if you felt the need, I suppose you could macro Backstab, Savage Strike and Quickshot together to look something like this;

    Code:
    #show Backstab
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast Backstab
    cast Savage Strike
    cast Quick Shot
    Code:
    #show Final Blow
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast Final Blow
    cast Head Shot

Yeah, ive been using this exact spec since beta It's pretty fun but certainly has trouble killing. You should really get planar Refuge. Also, take the 2 points out of savage strike buff and go into murderous intent. Enduring brew is EXTREMELY useful and i recommend you get it. Otherwise for a 0 soul-- mm or ranger will do the trick i personally like being able to use swift shot at melee so i just use that and go in for a final blow or something.

Sorry if I'm not "getting" the build, but it seems like your using mostly Sin skills in your rotations. Wouldn't it make more sense to drop points out of RS and respec them into Sin for more damage buffs? I understand RS is good for mobility and whatnot, but since you have ranger in your lineup you should be sustaining dps even on a target that is not in melee range.

Mediocre damage, no healing reduction. Can't be kited. I hope that's some consolation when they just ignore you.

No offense, but this spec seems like it's trying to be both semi-offensive, somewhat defensive and utility and it just doesn't seem likely that it is effective for anything besides running way.

Not a flame, just an observation.

I've tried a build like this in PvP where I pick up the attack power buff in ranger instead of getting flashback from riftstalker. The mobility is nice and rift prison is decent CC - however the damage kinda sucks, no offense. It's great in world pvp if you fight a warrior or rogue, but if you encounter a mage or cleric, their self heals are enough to endure your bleeds.

Personally, I like to go all the way 51 assassin, 15 inf, and watch mages and clerics QQ about cleanse soul. You lack mobility but you have all the tools to keep them in melee range. Still forever hate dominators though... 30s CD on transferrance compared to a 2min CD on cleanse soul - QQ for rogues.

This was actually the first melee build I played as rogue. (Instead of Ranger I had INF)
It's "fun" because you have many ways of "getting" to your target, so you can't get kited.
However as the above comment stated, it lacks burst...
Even if you can stay on a target for 1 minute, the damage is just missing.
It's fun to play, but not as effective.

I'm going to have to disagree there. It lacks nothing. You go sin/rs split you're gonna have to expect less burst than a 51 sin for all the MASSIVE mitigation. With a good player this is easily one of the more deadly builds--- throw in some valor, and youre nearly unkillable. This is one of few build that can take a tank-y warrior face to face quite easily. It lacks no burst for what youre getting. If you have healers by all means--- go builds with NO way to escape or protect yourself but by itself this build can get the job done against warriors, rogues, mages and non-healing clerics.

Please provide examples of this popular demand. I find it unlikely.

I use a build kinda like this. It's my pve/pvp all arounder build. Good survivability and decent dmg. Not going to kill a cleric though.. ever unless.. he/she is rank one.
Can kill those pesky mms pretty easily. If you use a build like this pick a war and be his side kick haha.

You're obviously doing it very wrong...

Can't be kited?... with 6 blinks? wow.
