    Default Looking for Battlebard specs.

Just as it says I am looking for specs, and macros, high dmg isn't a must, but a plus, what I do want most is simplicity, and FUN!

I am just tired of boring 51 point bard.

    Rotations

For dps: Cadence - Combo Builder to 5 - Deadly strike
For healing: Cadence - Cadence - Cadence - Deadly strike or
Cadence - Cadence - Cadence - Virtuoso - Coda of Restoration spam for extended healing times, hitting deadly strike right before coda of restoration wears off.

    Combo builder macro:

    #show backstab
    cast puncture
    cast backstab
    cast quick strike
    cast keen strike
    cast weapon barrage (optional)

With motifs you should create macros for each. Here's an example.

    #show motif of tenacity
    cast motif of tenacity
    startattack

It will enable auto attacks while refreshing motifs, and help maintain serrated blades and cruel vengence.

I use this build in T2s and some raid encounters. One encounters like GS or Alsbeth, verse of joy is handy to give clerics mana. Otherwise it works well. Verse of Joy is overrated imo - it's 750 mana total, which is just over a couple of group heals per cleric.

This build gives the highest cadence amount plus the highest dps. On aoe healing encounters I've outhealed chloros and clerics. Downside is you still need a 51 bard build for the int/wis buff.

Awesome, thanks going to be trying thse out this evening, I just CANT deal with running a 51 point bard anymore, and my group is willing to let me experiment.

Nice, I'd like to hear about how it goes. I generally play a dps and am only occassionally able to play a bard. I've never tried using it against someone like greenscale... I didn't want to clerics to be screaming for mana. If you're doing RoS make sure you /flex after a dark foci or warmaster. I've never not topped the hps charts.

It's also really fun on encounters like the scorpion in GP. If there's melee room, I'd try it out. It's a balancing act of when to dps or heal, when to hit deadly strike and when to refresh motifs. Makes for deeper gameplay.

    Stupid edit timer....

Make sure you keep a 51 bard build though. Use it to buff wis/int on the casters, then LoS and switch specs to buff melee with this build.

Buffs that you apply before changing specs will dissapear.

Are you sure about that? Have you tried line of sighting the people you've given the buffs to before changing specs?

    hello lads,

im using this battlebard spec in raids/groups

    32bard/17sin/17BD

remind that i have SHoE trinket and a bard core with 4 epic crit lessers and the crystal vine/IPP shield greater.
i run with the melee on most fights, and time your virtuoso / resto spam carefully.
    usual healing rotation is
    riff - ds - cadence - cadence - resto
    cadence - cadence 2 points - DS
    cadence - cadence -resto
    ...

    cheers

I couldn't figure out your rotation, but think I have it figured out now.

Cadence - Cadence - Coda of Restoration
    Cadence - 2 point builder - DS

    repeat

If it's a healing rotation, I'd pickup puncture imo. Sure it's a weak dot, but it's the fastest relable way to hit 5 combo points in the 2nd part of your rotation. Plus, even though it's a weak dot with SO it does a bit more damage. I'll try something like this out.
