The Hoko spec 1.0 (1990dps plutonus with parse)

i manual poison malice during verse of joy. i put blade tempo in macro because there is no reason not too... 100% boss time means i can fire it off whenever i want and i want it to fire as soon as it goes off cooldown. also the 3 points for the quick shot bleed are because id rather that then 3% more hp, cause those 4 times i did use quick shot are 4 times i get a dot tick vs 3% hp, there is no other dps talent there to progress....

and for flash of steel, well it gets me to deadly dance faster so is a dps boost, fast pet summon is very nice tho.

also i open with flash of steel, there is no reason to open from stealth as the only dps move i have from stealth is assassinate, much better to flash of steel and get to the first deadly dance that much faster.

and fiery spike doesnt scale much at all! similar dps on dummy with t2 gear, t1 raid gear or t2 raid gear... it's like riftblade, it's high dmg but that's all ur gonna get! and weeping edge is BiS offhand dagger, even including all the new stuff from the t2 relic set, the proc is just better than having slightly harder hitting quick/precision strikes.

The real question is, can this spec also pull 1990 DPS on Duke/LGS/Herald/Alsbeth? Because Sab can, <3 sab.

It'll be interesting to see what sorts of mechanics HK has and how many fights are going to be simple "Burn one target from start to finish" like Plutonus. Something tells me not many.

I've been running it as an offspec to melee Sab for a month .

Is it still going to do the damage is does now when you won't be able to put 3 charge rotations into 1 Deadly Dance?

Presuming that at some unknown future time you will not be able to put 2-3 charge rotations into Deadly Dance (and from the looks of things, this time will not be 1.3), then naturally the damage will drop a good bit, eh?

well we are talking about SDPS not aoe. you never ever pull 2k with the sab spec SPDS. sab is for the lazy rogues anyway imo. cant take this soul serious, no skill needed/boring as hell.

@ hoko. as i use this build for every fight, i dont macro blade tempo. imagine warmaster and you hit blade tempo just as he gets to the werewolf. would be a waste of dps. same for pluto. i time my blade tempo that i can hit it at 10%. just two examples.

yea that makes sense, and very easy to remove from macro for those fights, but for plutonus i have it macro'd and manual poison malice, at one point i had poison malice macro'd too but it works much better when used with joy which has the same cooldown, and since that pesky bard always shouts when he does joy it works nicely

and yes i know the build is not new, i just put my name on it since no one posted a good parse with it yet lol. obviously the name hoko doesnt even make sense for a spec, but still that's what i called it rofl.

i stack AP, i have 6 AP lessers and many BiS AP jewelery. i rock the fang and weeping edge and have the epic quest gun so my right side of the screen is mostly BiS where my left side of the screen needs some work

basically fiery spike and AP do not go together, fiery spike always lowers my max dps because of my gear, i finally found a build that played to my strengths and did not have any of my weaknesses (low crit) so i really enjoy this build... for plutonus. i still love my saboteur spec but i found for both alsbeth and herald the fight went much faster if i used this spec and simply single targeted them and ignored all adds, i did not have any aoe and still was getting around the 1700dps mark and all 1700 of it was to herald and well alsbeth is ghey cause i was running crystals but for each burn phase i was full all out on alsbeth which imo made a difference, we were knocking out 27% life per time, almost got her down before the first 3 add phase, i think this spec will work great for oracle too but not greenscale (no way to keep pet alive with so few points in tree).

tonight we do gsb so we'll see how this does, i personally perfer sab for all fights in greenscale but then again im lazy and come up with 1 button rotation specs!

(Just curious, almost have my rogue to 50 so looking for a good versatile dps spec)

If you're about to hit 50 (and experts), then you want a spec that has a more durable pet (31 Ranger) or Sab so you can incriminate bad tanks in LFD. Experts tend to have more unavoidable / hard to avoid AOE ticks that can cause problems for your pet.
