    Default Rogue Tanking Gear!

    Hello every1,

I am gonna hit lvl50 soon on my rogue and I went around on the forums trying to find a guide on tanking gear but I coudnt find any.

What I need is a guide to help me start up, right from when I ding lvl50 and into T1.

Like is there a craftable set that I should get right away for tanking?
What faction(s) should I get rep in order to get (items/enchants..etc)?
What greater/lesser essance should I get?

Some of these questions are covered in other topics but they all have the (BiS) kinda feeling wich I dont need.
WHat I need is a starter Kit
    And so on...

Also if there is a rogue tanking guide like Ciderhelm's for warrior plz post link.

    ThX!

Are there any tank BiS lists that go down into the t2 region? There's one for dps, but I can't find one for tank. The link above only goes down 4, which are generally all GSB, ROS or GP. Yeah I know raid is best, but if we aren't in a guild farming those zones, is there a list for t1 and t2 gear?

Quite frankly, with the crappy droprates on them you're probably better off farming for the T2 plaque gear. Especially with how easy instances are to run now with the LFG system and nerfed trash mobs. Not to mention they buffed the plaque items a bit. Don't worry about BiS for T2 items, I'm pretty sure the plaque gear is better now, and if not, you're not going to miss the 1 or 2 stats anyway. If you get a drop, you saved yourself some plaque spending, if not you're still working for a better item more then likely.

seriously. one week they added all these extra rogue tank items....then the next week, they buffed vendor stuff so it made all the drops they added previously bad lol....

anyway, farm plaques....if you get a drop in meantime, then skip that plaque piece....pretty straight forward....

So no need to craft anything?

What about factions? anything I should start with?

Buy the crafted +toughness chest, enchant +toughness.
Buy the crafted boots or legs with toughness.
Buy the 7500 source core, fill it with http://rift.zam.com/en/item/99FAD506...1/Rigid-Stance as you get the shards to buy them. Do zone invasions in Stillmoor and Shimmer for shards.
    I also use: http://rift.zam.com/en/item/BED784E1...ng-Stormsource

This will get you over 50 toughness and let you queue for T1. Spam T1 take anything that's an upgrade, save plaques to buy T2 gear.

Move to T2 as soon as you're over 100 toughness.
