i dont see many about these days .... just wondering if anyone is still playing the sab soul in pvp even tho its nerfed to crap .. i still find it the top dmg dealer in port scion .. so is anyone playing it ??

and if so can u tell me how you specced into it im looking for a nice sab build to play from time to time when i get bored of backstabbing.. as in my view sab is the most fun and original soul in this game.

loving the sab, useful in some pvp occasions and great for grouping.
Useful Rogue guides since I don't want to answer 50 billion questions anymore:
Marksman, Ranger, Nightblade, Blink'Blade, Asstalker, Assdancer, and finally The Hoko Spec™
Hoko, teaching noobs the way of rogue pve until 12/20/11.

Never played before it was nerfed. My observations after trying it today is that it is awesome for AoE PvE. In PvP it was so bad I can't imagine that it was ever good.

I agree, running 44sab/20ass/2rng and love it! I dont PVP, but Sab is the best overall dps build to use for experts post 1.2 with the new high explosives 44 pt skill. Only slightly less than ranger single target dps and best AoE in rogue soul. Also it enables you to have much more situational awareness as you dont have to keep track of as much stuff. Basically just watch that you dont clip your spike charge bleed.

Sure some melee builds give more single target dps, but melee is such a hassle in this game.

    What is Sab?

Sab is a range dps. Sab shoot a target for 12+sec and the target is still alive.
The dmg of spike charge is good, however, it is a DOT, only good for PVE.

When I'm up against a pug I'll use my sab in a wf. It's a class designed for domination against people who aren't raid aware. That said, it's terrible against a very competent team, so I switch back to my sin spec.
Retired due to lack of PVP content and boring/repetitive game mechanics.

Sab in PvP is still pretty fun. PvE it is kinda boring, but the explosion sounds always brighten my day.
[Insert witty comment here, followed by chuckles and admiration for me.]

Using 44 Sab / 20 Sin / 2 NB for PVE , very decent DPS and utility (Incriminate: no single person in the entire raid will take aggro)

Using 51 Sab / 8 NB / 7 RS for PVP. Lots and lots of fun. AOE spam in warfronts where people are always grouped up (Scion, BG).
