    Default Ranger/mm leveling build needed

    Hey guys,

I just picked up the game and I need a leveling build for a ranger/mm/bard soul combination.
This may sound like an odd combination but what my plan was to do was to pick uP the talents in bard that heal I.e. The points that heal you for the cadence damage and the motif that heals you. Than I was going to out the rest in mm because I thought that soul did more damage than ranger. The only reason I picked up ranger was for the pet

    Thanks,

    Oda

P.s. Mu other toon is a cleric melee dps build. Can the ranged rogue souls put perform them in pve and pvp? Thanks again!

    Bump

Anyone have any information for me? I know there's tons of information out there, however I don't have the time at the moment to heck it out and would like to discuss ideas with someone who is knowledgable on the class

    Thanks,

    Oda

With the shadow fire change in 1.2 you can do some decent damage with ranger now. Without the greater razorbeast your pet will quikly become useless. i would suggest picking two classes to level. maybe take bd for the free ability

You don't need to put any points into bard. Your get a mend pet at 6 points into the ranger tree. What I did is invest all points into the ranger tree first, up to the tier before the blood raptor, since you'll be using the razorbeast to tank mobs. Take the raptor if you are planning on doing a lot of instances while you level. Make sure that, along the way, you pick up the second tier mm talent Repelling Shot.
At level 10, your build could look like this:

    At level 20:

    At level 30:

    At Level 40:

Of course, you can shuffle a lot of talents around in the ranger tree, and it's hard to go wrong with the ones you pick. While leveling you want to choose the ones that give your pet and you the best survival ability. One note about trick shot though. If you take it, pick up the improved talent as well, otherwise skip it and take the Arrow Volley. Don't forget that if you get a mob on you, you can always activate Divert Rage and hit them with a repelling shot. Trick Shot and Divert Rage are really good at getting a pack of mobs onto your pet. If you find that you are taking a lot of damage, put some points into Bolster. Also, you can pick bard as your third soul, but you'll really only be using Motif of Bravery. You can put points into bard, however, to get the armor buff for your pet, as well as fanfare of vigor, but that's up to you. I found repelling shot much more useful, as the mobs don't usually last long enough to kill my pet unless I pull a whole lot or they're elites (in which case, it may not make any difference).
