    Default Ranger: Crit vs. AP

Trying to decide if I need to buy and fill a new engine for my Ranger build.

Currently I am still using my melee focus and pulling 800+ in a mix of T1/T2 36.0 bow.

I'm wondering if it's worth it to make one for Ranger.

I'm assuming Shadesource + Vampire for the greaters. (if this is incorrect, any suggestions?)

But where I'm stuck is deciding whether to stack AP or Crit lessers.

    Any advice?

vampiric is the only greater i have tested that outperforms an epic lesser, and then only when raid buff.

me personally stack AP in my scource machine because my crit/dex is so high i simply do not see a reason to make it higher.
Useful Rogue guides since I don't want to answer 50 billion questions anymore:
Marksman, Ranger, Nightblade, Blink'Blade, Asstalker, Assdancer, and finally The Hoko Spec™
Hoko, teaching noobs the way of rogue pve until 12/20/11.

Why would the vampiric outperform a lesser with raid buffs? As far as I'm aware, it always adds ~8 dps (for Ranger, at least), while a lesser adds ~10-12, depending on how good it is.

Also, don't underestimate the value of AP for ranger/marksman, due to the Improved Fire Power talent from marksman, which directly buffs AP by 25%.

For ranger/marksman builds, 1 AP is roughly equivalent to 3 physical crit.
