Default How do people feel about 51 point MM for pve?

I've been trying a couple 51 point MM builds since 1.2 and have been able to pull decent numbers, but still not sure if it's as good as 31 point Ranger.

I have tried 51MM/12Ran/3Sin which was doing alright. http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0M...GtRqdAudR.VMcb

Now I'm trying a 51MM/15NB/0Sin build, not rally sure which one is better. http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0M...tRqdAudR.V0xMh

I love the 30% damage from pedestal, but I feel like there are too many wasted talents spent getting there.

Lastly, I was running the usual 31Ran/18MM/17Sin build before 1.2, but am wondering what people think about this instead, http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0M...0V.VMcf0ekso0z Because the Nightblade talents appear to add 23% more damage while 17 in Assassin only gives 14%, but also 5% crit and 20% more crit damage.

I plan on testing this out when I get the chance, but wanted to get some community feedback first.

    I started using 51MM/7Rng/8Ass
    http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0M...RqdAudR.VM.0qM

(8Assassin so you get the 2nd Poison)

What it boiled down to for me was I did not like how cooldown reliant the build was. Also there is virtually no AoE in the build which I find incredibly useful for dungeon runs, every trash pool is an AoE pool.

Ultimately I ended up returning to MM/Rng/As but maybe you would like it.

Yea I agree about the cooldowns there are still a lot for Marksman, but I think Lightning Fury, Crossfire, and Fan Out are enough aoe for most dungeons.

What thing that confuses me is that Marksman have a lot of abilities that let them be very mobile(Hit and Run, Strafe) and kite very well(On the Double, Retreat, Swift Shot/Hasted Shot movespeed) but in order for them to do decent dps they have to stand on their pedestal. Sure they have that 15 second timer that lets them leave, but they still have to go back to it and stay there as much as possible. I guess Marksman is really more of a pvp class, except for pedestal so that kind of ruins the 51 point build.

Seemed pretty good in raid from those testing it. Still you can squeeze out more dps moving points around.

The guy parsing 1k+ over the other guys was using Ranger/MM/Assasin build. No I don't have the points off the top of my head. Just saying he is mixed ranged build and was pulling better dps all the time.

MM not bad..but just some feedback to chew on. Someone here will crunch the numbers for us im sure. Give them a few more hours of parsing and calculating.
