    Now that you have chosen your role you have found your way here! Welcome to the all in one thread. This is a community support thread to help us find the information available without having to digest 500,000 threads to find a simple yes or no answer. If you have anything to contribute or think a thread out there might be a good one or even a good website lets us know.     WE ESPECIALLY NEED COMBAT PARSERS:

    Relevant parsing rules will be determined by the community but I'm gonna assume a minimum of 500,000 hits with a mixture of specials etc based on builds to be tested to verify if numbers are correct and so on. If this if feasible or if you wish to help test these numbers please state so and start throwing out builds to be tested by the community.

    I will be testing 51 assasin 51 bard 51 Ranger after I level up on 41/10/15

    Assassin

    Melee DPS: High - Type: Single Target Weapon Damage, Poisons, Critical Attacks, Sneak Attacks
    Ranged DPS: None -Type: None
    Healing: Low -Type: Small Self Heals and Minor Life Leeching
    Support: Average -Type: Long Duration AoE and Single Target CC, Average Debuffs
    PvE Survival: Average -Type: Can easily drop combat by stealth and avoid damage through CC but cannot withstand hits well
    PvP Survival: Average -Type: Can easily drop combat by stealth and avoid damage through CC but cannot withstand hits well

    Bard

    Melee DPS: Low -Type: AoE and Single Target Instrument Sound Attacks. Quick Combo builders.
    Ranged DPS: Low -Type: AoE and Single Target Instrument Sound Attacks. Quick Combo builders.
    Healing: Average -Type: Sustained AoE healing through single target attack, no spike or single target
    healing Support: High -Type: Best Buffs in game, spammable AoE and Single target CC, and respectable debuffs.
    PvE Survival: Average -Type: Cannot withstand hits well but constantly heals while attacking and can CC to avoid damage.
    PvP Survival: Low -Type: Often the Primary PvP target that is easily identified by musical animations. Can only CC and hope to run away. Self heals are not nearly enough to endure focus fire.


    Bladedancer

    Melee DPS: High -Type: Extremely quick two weapon attacks, some AoE, Reactive Attacks, Fast Energy Regen, Quick Combo builders
    Ranged DPS: Low -Type: Can throw weapon on a 10 second cooldown.
    Healing: None -Type: None
    Support: Average -Type: Some Self and Party Buffs, Interrupts, Silence and Debuffs.
    PvE Survival: Average -Type: Dodge, one good survival cooldown
    PvP Survival: Average -Type: Dodge, one good survival cooldown


    Marksman

    Melee DPS: Low -Type: Basic arrow attack can be fired in melee, All attacks can be fired with CD use
    Ranged DPS: High -Type: Arrow based AoE and Single Target with good mobility while firing.
    Healing: None -Type: None
    Support: None -Type: None
    PvE Survival: Average -Type: Can kill an enemy before being hit by kiting but can run into new enemies while doing so.
    PvP Survival: Average -Type: Very difficult to hit with melee classes but low defense versus other ranged and devastated by movement impairing effects.


    Nightblade

    Melee DPS: High -Type: AoE and Single target melee weapon attacks infused with elemental procs and dots.
    Ranged DPS: High -Type: AoE and Single target weapon and elemental attacks.
    Healing: None -Type: None
    Support: Average (PvP High) -Type: Long Duration Ranged CC, Devastating -50% received healing debuff in PvP
    PvE Survival: Low -Type: Sub-par stealth, Can CC one target, 6 second avoidance technique deep into the soul.
    PvP Survival: Low -Type: Sub-par stealth, Can CC one target, 6 second avoidance technique deep into the soul.


    Ranger

    Melee DPS: Low -Type: Has 3 Melee Pets (Tank, Balanced, DPS). Has no attacks that can be used in melee.
    Ranged DPS: Average -Type: Arrow based AoE and Single Target attacks.
    Healing: Low -Type: Can heal pet with HoT.
    Support: Average -Type: Interrupt, Silence, AoE snare, Armor Debuff, Damage and Threat Redirection.
    PvE Survival: High -Type: Has a heal-able tank pet that takes all the damage for the ranger. Ranger can run away if pet may die.
    PvP Survival: Low -Type: Enemy players just ignore the pet and go after the ranger who is easily killed.


    Riftstalker

    Melee DPS: Average -Type: Teleport Attacks, Weapon DPS, High Threat Attacks
    Ranged DPS: None -Type: None, but can instantly teleport to the enemy from range.
    Healing: Low -Type: Some healing when a target is killed, increased effectiveness from all healing (up to 30%)
    Support: None -Type: None
    PvE Survival: High -Type: Short Ranged Teleports, Damage mitigation high enough to be a main tank and self heal when target killed.
    PvP Survival: High -Type: Short Ranged Teleports, Damage mitigation high enough to be a main tank and self heal when target killed.



    Saboteur

    Melee DPS: High -Type: High front loaded AoE and Single Target damage though bombs, traps and explosive charges.
    Ranged DPS: High -Type: High front loaded AoE and Single Target damage though bombs, traps and explosive charges.
    Healing: None -Type: None
    Support: Average -Type: Slow, Threat Redirection, Stun, Debuff
    PvE Survival: Low -Type: Can slow and stun enemies, but easily killed if overwhelmed.
    PvP Survival: Average -Type: Easily escapes snares roots and stuns, constantly snares the opponent but easily killed especially from range.

    Auto Attacks:

    You do auto attack while using instant special abilities
    You do not auto attack while channeling
    You do not ranged auto attack while moving
    Nightblade ranged abilities require a melee weapon, not a ranged weapon
    You do not ranged auto attack while casting marksman shots


    Bleeds:

    Bleeds Are Physical Damage
    Bleeds Are Affected By Attack Power
    Bleeds Are Mitigated By Armor *** (Unless the ability specifically says it bypasses armor)
    Bleeds Can Be Blocked (Speculative Low Level Confirmation)


    Cadence:

    Cadence is a life based attack that is affected by dex/ap and spell power enhancements. (Spell Power is not worth it though compared to AP/Dex/Str/Weapon Damage increases)


    Charges

    count as poisons (so they can be cleansed)
    posion potency should increase their damage
    Posion only procs on weapon attacks, not ranged skills.



    Critical Hits

    A critical is 150% of the base damage (IE: normally you hit for 100 points you will instead hit for 150 points) confirmed
    Items, abilities and points that "Increases xxxx damage by 10%" or "Increase combo point generating abilities by 15%" are added before the critical effect (IE: normally you hit for 100 points you will instead hit for 110 points then the critical effect will kick in and hit for a total of 165 points)
    Items, abilities and points that "Increase your critical hit bonus by 10%" are added to the critical effect. (IE: normally you hit for 100 points you will instead hit for 150 points then the 10% will be added on for 160 points)


    Trauma

    Does update your tool tips damage and duration of affected abilities

    When a sab skill says "Deals weapon damage + x", is the weapon damage added the DPS of the weapon, say 9.5, or is it the actual damage per swing of the weapon, say 14-18, therefore being an avg of 16.

    Can A Ranger Tame?

    Is a Sab's blast charge meant to initiate combat?

    Is Cadence affected by Attack Power or Spell Power (or if both, which one has more effect)?

    Bard: Which weapon gets used for '+weapon damage'?

    Does Crit Hit Chance affect Coda of Wrath?

    Do points spent in a soul improve the abilities in a soul?

    Does bleed damage get mitigated by armor?

    Does bleed damage get blocked?

    When is the Dexterity Bonus applied? Before gear is factored (IE, your base dex) or afterwards?
    After

    When is the Attack Power bonus applied?
    After damage

    What is the DR on X stat?
    Unknown - At this time and not one moment before level 50 talk about diminishing returns is fruitless.
