Default Why does the bard still have that stupid Pied Piper ability?

    Really?

Voted #1 most useless ability in game.

Why not replace it with something useful like resurrection (so if the rogue is only one with SW after a wipe he can get everyone up).

There are so many more reasons to take choloromancer into a group over a bard, please lessen the gap.

I think the idea of the skill is great. Pretty funny and I like it. BUUUUT:

But making it a skill is somewhat over the top, they could give the bard a trinket which on activation has the same effect ("Hameln flute" for example) that way he can switch it for a useful items when in a group.
In turn, change the skill to something useful too.

gah, no one seems to understand that this is just an ability they put in the game for fun.. If you took a look at other souls callings none of them get an ability for spending 36 points. If you don't like it, don't use it, but its a free ability so you have absolutely no reason to whine about it.

Yeah 5 critters that dont even exist in Warfronts even if it was a useful ability. So basically 100% useless in PvP for 36 point cost. At least if I was getting whooped in a Warfront I could have some fun and go all squirrel army...but no.

What is this ?! The 3rd post this week about MoE ?

At least make it interesting and different... ask for it to be changed, you want 6 critters, cause 5 is not helping you in T2 !

So where are the other 32 point abilities from other souls that they just put in for fun?

I see a lot of people say this, but it's just not true.
Druids get an ability at 36 points (Friend of the Weald) and it's not useless.
Also, Bards don't get a 5 or 6 point ability which a lot of other souls have.

It's pointless comparing the abilities that other souls get, not every soul gets abilities at every 'milestone'.

I've just noticed that Inquisitor, Purifier, Sentinel, Shaman and Warden all get an ability at 36 so your arguement is completely invalid.

You will notice rogue template has a pattern.

    Asn 1*, 2, 4*, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 26, 32, 38, 44, 51
    Bard 1*, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 26, 32, [36], 38, 44, 51
    BD 1**, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 26, 32, 38, 44, 51
    MM 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 26, 32, 38, 44, 51
    NB 1**, 4*, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 26, 32, 38, 44, 51
    Rng 1***, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 32, 38, 44, 51
    RS 1*, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 26, 32*, 38, 44, 51
    Sab 1**, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20*, 26, 32, 38, 44, 51

Any point I put an asterisk there is a second or third ability. The offending one is in brackets. It is extra and fluff. It means nothing. No other rogue soul gets a 36th level ability. Nightblade gets robbed of it's 2nd level abiliities for some reason. And Ranger gets a couple of extra abilities that are summons pets.

So because you get it at 36 points it's ok? What if you got it at 32 points at the same time as Anthem of Fervor, would that still be ok because it's fluff or would people still want something better?

The item is fluff. If we got good abilities in every single layer of the template that all the rest of the souls got and a 10 fluff abilities per level that did nothing but play music or flashy lights or used different instruments. It wouldn't change our abilities functionality one bit.

People are complaining because we get an extra ability and don't get resurrection. The lack of resurrection is what they are really crying about. Trion could give us that ability at any point in our template and it would be perfectly fine.

Of course I agree that it is complete fluff, but why does bard get some fluff and no other soul does, why can't we have something useful instead?

I don't understand is why everyone says that it's an 'extra' ability. They only say that because you get it at 36 points, if you got it at 32 points nobody would think of it as an extra ability.

Face it people. The ability is there no matter where it is in the mix. Maybe resurrection would be better but thats up to Trion. SO please lets discuss something other than this 1 ability which really has no effect on anything
