Default Anyone have a good Saboteur build for pvp?

I've never played this soul before. It seems fun and would like to give it a shot in pvp. I been messing with the soul builder and came up with a few variations but I have 0 experience with this soul. Anyone got a solid pvp build for this soul?

For Group WFs and raid PvP. http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=1M...Rz.0VMcxcb.V0h

If you wanted to solo I recommend taking points out of Coup De Grace and placing them in blind/perma-stealth and foul play.

Though, I would not recommend soloing as a Saboteur, and no rapid setup is not worth losing 20% damager per charge.

Yea, I was looking to use Sab as a ranged build I can switch to in warfronts if needed. Mainly in Black Garden or Port Scion where range can be better at times. I was actually messing around with a similar setup in the soul builder involving those 3 souls. I think I'll try that build you posted. But with stealth, foul play and blinding powder.

Few questions though. Why no Entangling Trap or Time Bomb? Time bomb looks ok as an aoe ability that can do some damage and possibly de-stealth nearby enemies. And an 8 sec aoe root could have it's uses. These 2 abilities seem like they can be useful in Black Garden.

I'm thinking of removing 2 points from Improved Spike Charge and 1 from Demolition Specialist and using use them for Entangling Trap and Time Bomb. Good idea, bad idea? Or is there a better option to take points from?

The problem with time bomb is the damage it does is really really weak, and is often cured. (not sure of actual numbers, but it's less than 1 blast charge.)

Also entangling breaks on damage I believe and there is often so much aoe being thrown around that you never get to see the full effect of such traps. Also the range it snares is too small to be effective and requires the point in improved to make it worth it.

You could possibly remove a point or 2 if you wanted from improved spike but I find it ticks for alot of damage. Also demolition specialist is a must since it allows you to aoe spike and blast charge.

I see. I guess I'll scrap Time Bomb then. I'm going to try out Improved Entangling Trap though just to see if I can make good use of it. If not I'll go with the 2 points in Improved Spike Charge instead. So after a few point changes in that build this is what I'm looking at:

    38 Sab / 23 Sin / 5 NB

I've never tried mixing stealth with Saboteur, but it probably can increase survival time and help with positioning. My current Sab is 51 with 10 in Infiltrator and 5 in Riftstalker. With this build I need to keep moving quickly using cover when I can and doing as much damage as possible before an inevitable quick death. Supporting a Warrior or another Rogue in melee is the best use for a Sab I think, and this build gets a lot of kills when I can work with other teammates like this.

Not sure if the 51 points is better for the increased damage for your charges due to Chrage Booster or if 15 points in Night Blade would be a better damage increase . . . however, the 51 points in Sab allows for all the tricks - Bombs, traps, Rapid Setup, Last Stand, etc.

I suggest trying out the 51 point build. I even heard rumors of Trions wanting to make 51 point builds even more viable. Hopefully they'll put Sabs back in place with the other big ranged DPS classes

How are you guys stacking your charges? The best ones to me seem like Spike / Blast (with points spent in the improved versions) for single target and Annihilation Bomb, and Shrapnel for aoe.

Should I do 5 Spike >Detonate to start bleeds then do 5 blast > Detonate to finish with burst? Or should I be mixing them up?

I know there is no standard rotation in pvp, but how would you want to be setting your charges vs single or multiple targets in pvp.

Should show 20 points in inf.

    or..

With both you target anything with a blue bar. 5 x shrapnel when your target has friends closeby, 5 x splinter or 5 x ember when you need to debuff the target. With the latter build the gas bomb will work if the target isn't paying attention. Save the annihilation bombs for interrupts, of course, but Pardon the Interruption works extremely well.

Not optimal builds for sure but no sab spec in a WF is optimal. Those two work well for me though.
