    Default Bard Specs?

I have a Bard / Ranger that I like to play in groups with guildies and solo occasionally. My main question is:

    1. Do I need to increase Int and Wis to increase the amount I heal/damage with Cadence?
    2. How does Str and Dex affect a Bard?

    Thanks.

I have tried using the search function. I apparantly neglected to put points in the Forum tree, so I failed. Thanks for the info though.

In the interest of diversity, here's a Bard build I run without the very lackluster 51 point skill, http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0M....EcdqiRskVz.Vo. It has very few wasted points in Bard while still able to pick up the ohshii heal, ranged autoattack, AP buff which (minorly) increases all healing, and damage boosting talents that boost Cadence healing.

    Made me lol.

5 points could go in Sab, for DEX increase, will have 2 leftovers if you spec 51B/8NB

    51/10/5 Bard/NB/RS is what I roll.

+15% AP > +15% Dex, especially given that you typically have close to 1.5-2x your Dex in AP. And the fact that 1 AP > 1 Dex (for a Bard).

I like to have 1/2 in melted skin and use a ranger/MM spec so my auto attack with bow/gun proc hellfire blades and the 5% damage increase for Cadence...

And what spec would you use in total? 4 points in Ranger and 11 in NB? So you'd give up +15% AP for +4% Crit and at best about a 2% increase in total damage (lower, in practice, and which wouldn't impact Motif of Regen, Coda of Resto, or Verse of Vitality, whereas the AP would)?

    Bard/Rift Stalker Spec: http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0M...kqz.Ecx0z0zo.z

Buffs: Guardian Phase, Planebound Resilience, Anthem of Defiance, and Fanfare Power/Knowledge (depending on group)

    7200-7400HP + 5000 Damage Shield

Refresh Motiffs just before group enters combat.

Pop Verse of Vitality within the first 5 seconds of combat.

Riff the nearest pet or player to get Improved Rift Guard up.

Pop Planar Refuge if targeted by a mage.

Riff + Virtuoso + Spam Coda of Restoration/Distress/Cowardice.

Roll near the closet group of players attacking team and pop Rift Disturbance.

Use Break Free when needed. Shadow assault on safest player/pet that is away from the VK or Sin that has jumped you.

I find that rotations and abilities to plane shift around plus mez works great.

Bards aren't there to DPS. We are there to buff and off heal. So the less time I spend on the rez pad, the better off my team is in the long run.

This assumes the OP is targeting PvP.
