    Default PVP vs mages

I'm aware this thread is going to bring the masses of trolls and qqer's, but i wanted to hear some peoples constructive ideas as well.

Anyways, what soul combo's are people using to counter mages?

I'm currently leveling a rogue and the number of mage rerolls in WF's is crazy. So instead of rerolling like most bads, i want to show them whats up. I don't really have trouble with warriors or dps clerics 1v1, healing clerics need 5 people to take them down at this level so they aren't important.

(i'm lvl 25 for the record)

try a nightblade spec, theyget a 80% damage reduction talents. Im currently Ranger/Nightblade at 50 and i can wreck most mages when it comes down to it. But its all a matter of CDs and such. But def look into the NB tree
And then i told him, "Thats not a Rift, thats my wife!"

On my mage alt, I always watch my back for any NB rogues, they are mean and I have respect for any player who knows how to work the build because I still get confused on mine all the time. >_>

51/15 NB/Infiltrator works really well against Pyros and can take out healers. As with any healer/player though if they are getting support from mutliple other healers it will be a hard kill without anyone assisting.

It works really well against Pyros though when you have defensive CDs up. They arent going to run from you most of the time, that would mean they leave their circle, so you just go to town on them. You have a possible 14 seconds of immunity against them with good damage and a heal debuff you should win that fight. As with any WF though if the other group is way better you will probably lose.

As a melee rogue, mostly NB, I would say the healers I have the most trouble killing are probably Chloros. I dont know if its the warlock armor or what. Its only a select few who I have trouble with.

    39nb/22bd/5inf.

Healing Debuff, 10 second cooldown interrupt (it won't silence mages in Ground of Strength but it will still interrupt their cast, and a cast time slow from cloudy poison. Add all this in with NB's multiple cooldowns and sprint/flash of steel for mobility, and you have a really competitive setup.

That's the correct build, I had the wrong one linked in the above post and missed the edit timer to add the correct one in.

Before someone calls it bad for not having Melted Skin is because you aren't running hellfire blades, you're running cloudy poison + fell blades and neither of them proc melted skin.

As a level 25, you lack Fell Blades - so your best bet is to go MM for mobility/out-ranging the mage or just plain assisting your teammate targets (which you should be doing anyways) and "ignoring" the mage in the circle. I always try to pull the fight away/create LoS issues for the mages in GoS if able (that's the best you can do). Riftstalker for Memory Capture/Flashback is also very effective if set up appropriately to get out.

One-on-one, the Pyro has the advantage with how current game mechanics work unless you have several NB cooldowns up (you kill the Pyro once every 2 minutes and the Pyro kills you for the other 1:45).

It's normally 51 NB, 15 Infil and 0 points whatever (Sabo, RS and BD being the favorites - probably in that order)

I don't know what spec it is, but there is definitely a rogue melee spec out there that does serious damage to me in my GoS.

    More than Sabs, for sure.

I can only assume it is some NB spec as suggested here....but it is definitely not BS.

I have rocked a few with my 51 sin build. Assassinate/puncture/final blow/serpent strike is a butt load of damage in 3 seconds. Thats just the start.
    I gank, get over it.
