    Default Saboteurs, Utilising the Marksman or Ranger souls

    Hey folks,

    I am just looking for suggestions or comments on a couple of builds for a Saboteur using the 2 ranged souls available to us.

    Whilst i appreciate that these may not be the "best" saboteur builds. What i am looking for is to come up with a decent "Ranged" saboteur, mainly for the boss's that like to give melee a hard time.

    I have not parsed either of these specs. I am just looking for recomendations.

    Utilising the Marksman Tree

    Utilising the Ranger Tree

    or the Assassin Varient (just swap ranger + marksman around like above)

    Any constructive thoughts and comments welcome and cheers for reading.

    The ranger varient, according to this test seems to come out on top.

    I am not very good at number crunching, but has anyone else tried out "ranged" sabo builds?
    Would be good to get some insight.

    going deep into ranger just gimps your dps the pet is useless past 32 anyway less you go deeper to get the greater pig, Ive found it more efficient not to use it. do go a bit deeper in to sin as you get the bonus to crit damage which stacks with the one from ranger and the 15% bonus to poison damage since all charges are considered poison it does effect them. for the sabo tree go deep or go home, lol too much good stuff to go into major detail, but trapper is extremely useful, it comboed with booby trap does nice ae damage, combat survivals cc effect reduction is useful both in pve and pvp, nothing worse than getting stunned the aed to death by a boss before you can move. trapper and entagle trap is a nice oh crap button if you accidentally pull aggro.

    Ive experimented with alot of sab builds since our nerf this one seems the most effective i can find and flexible can be use for pve though hold a bit to let the tank get aggro as burst dps is high sustainable is'nt bad either. adds a lot of utility for the group as well.

    pvp the burst dps becomes more important, and all the utility you bring will help keep you alive to unload it.

    only change i could see making is swapping the point in land mines over to sin for perma stealth, though currently not really using stealth.
