Default Sound Effects Change in 1.1?

Am I crazy or does the sound effect for hitting stuff and using bleed style moves (jagged strike) sound way different. No more squishy slicing stabbing wonderfulness. The new effect sounds like I'm throwing potatoes at mobs.

Please hotfix this, I don't use a mace.

Yea I noticed that too that my sound effects seem a little more dull and uninteresting.

Swords and daggers used to sound really neat. Now it sounds like I'm beating people with a lead pipe.

Ugh - Had more than a few hours to try and get used to them and they're just as horrible as last night.

I really don't understand why they bother to waste the time and effort on changing things like this.

Yep it used to be easy to tell that backstab was hitting, now not so much. Yet another nerf.

    Default Sounds awful

Yep the patch last night changed a lot of the individual sound effects and the audio mixing too:
as a Ranger my Shadow Fire was now virtually silent, as a Nightlblade quite a few effects were now almost inaudible and altogether combat just sounded washed-out again.

Either I've gone deaf or they have strayed back into the messed-up Beta Audio territory: in Beta 6 I recall the game was almost completely silent and I had to put the sliders to 100% then increase my speakers from their normal 50% to 90% just to hear some vague effects.

Right now the sound is awful in 1.1.

Going to have to chime in and say that I'm not all that keen on the new sounds either. Sounds more like blunt object hitting something fleshy then a sharp blade slicing and blood going all over. Mind you, there were times the older sounds got on the nerves (espically when I got some kind of energy booster and could knock out basic builders every cooldown..) I will give it another day or two and see if I end up liking it better.

Sounds effects are very important (to those of us who play with sound). My assassin feels totally different with this change -- I knew something was off immediately into the first pull. I thought maybe I had forgotten to equip my weapons because it sounded like it was just socking the mobs in the shoulder.

Also, finishing moves should sound different and harder than the other moves... they are after all FINISHING moves.
