    Default Are Sabo charges and detonations considered physical or non?

    I'm trying to build a Sabo spec for situations when I need to go range and am trying to figure out if it is worth speccing into unstable state, but I have no idea whether sabo is considered physical or non ...

    At least some IS treated as physical. The greater essence I have procs on Physical ofr Death damage and a Heal. And I have seen both go off.

    Spike/Sharp/Blast/Detonate = Phys
    Embers/Caltrop/Splinter = Earth

    So as long as you already have 20 points in assassin it is worth it, till next patch.

    There are many talents that yield 1% DPS for one point, so in order for unstable state to be worth it we would need 1/3rd or more of or damage to be physical. Copypasting someone else's parse of charge damage ratios (without detonate damage listed):

    Spike: 45
    Shrap: 28
    Blast: 23
    Ember / splinter / cal: 18

    Spike spike spike shrapnel blast detonate, blast shrapnel ember splinter caltrop detonate.
    (45x3+1) + (28x2) + (23x2) + (28x2) + (23x2) + Detonate x 2 versus (18x2 + 18x2 + 18x2)
    (180 + 56 + 46 + 56 + 46 + Detonate x 2) versus (36 + 36 + 36)
    (384 + detonate x 2) versus (108)

    It looks like nonphysical is not worth it compared to say Fire and Death, and you do more damage from two detonates than a caltrop, ember and splinter charge, so 3% finisher > 3% nonphysical.

    I cannot say for sure if they had used it in the final cut but at least in Alpha things were changed so that bomb charges were considered poison damage thus receiving a boost from assassins poison potency.
