Before 1.1, melee rogues were under-par and lacking in damage compared to ranged rogues. Now that ranged rogues have been adjusted, I feel that while a very slight damage increase to melee rogues would be great, it isn't necessary.
If you want to be effective end-game melee: roll a warrior If you want powerful end-game ranged damage: roll a mage If you want to be a rogue: hey, you can stealth!
