Default Best Melee Rogue DPS Alternative That I've Found (Thus Far)

    http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=1M...dbR.V0x.VV0Vzs

    Parse #1: 668.34 DPS
    Parse #2: 651.78 DPS
    Parse #3: 693.03 DPS
    Parse #4: 633.24 DPS

All 5:00 to 6:50 minute fights
    Target: Boss Practice Dummy

    Main Hand: (29.2 DPS)
    http://rift.zam.com/en/item/8884D2D6...ackheart-Blade

    Off Hand: (29.2) DPS
    http://rift.zam.com/en/item/F3A7BEB7...101/Eyemangler

Really only 2 macro's I've found to be useful (thus far)

    Macro #1: (Bound to Q)
    #show Savage Strike
    cast Backstab
    cast Savage Strike

    Macro #2: (Bound to E)
    #show Puncture
    cast Puncture
    cast Backstab

General Notes: It's all about keeping your DoT's up, and using Final Blow as often as possible.. I recommend using poisons from assassin, but Hellfire blades is viable. Open with Expose Weakness in Stealth, followed by Jagged Strike. Then proceed to puncture. This results in 5 combo points, then use Impale.

Using Blade Tempo when available, and try and keep your Expose Weakness up as much as possible. Whenever not using Impale, you should be using Final Blow. You can use Poison Malice, Baneful Touch, and Daunting Strike if you can manage to squeeze them in. But final blow seems to offer more long-term DPS. You ideally wanna get 2-3 final blows off before refreshing Impale.

Also using Slip-Away offensively, to reapply Jagged Strike.

Nightblade is great short-term DPS/Burst. I've gotten similar results with a Nightblade, but not in a long fight.

Wow, and the warriors are taking about therer 1000+ DPS builds.

In any case, Physical Trama, does it spread your damage out over more 8 seconds? or does it add 8 more seconds of ticks of the normal damage?.

    That's a good question actually. I haven't studied it.

I would imagine it's additive, and adds 8 more seconds worth of the normal damage.

Anyone else willing to test this build, and share results?

this, you dont get enough slip aways for assassin to beat nightblade, especially that nb/bd combo similar to what you have done here with assassin, just trade sin for nb and you will do more dps. 51pt builds /wrists

Bla Bla Blaq only balbber, OP provided detailed test results for him. Two people show up and give 1 liner, nah this sucks with zero support proof. have yet to see a 700dps+ over 5 min melee rogue parse anywhere on these forums. Only troll claims.

I wonder... if you remove the 3 points in poison potency and 2 points in improved stealth and slip away

how would putting them into Fire and Death Atunement for 3% damage and Melted Skin and using hellfire blades effect your damage???

I will try to run tests later...

Just curious, why couldnt you just use one Macro as follows?

    #show Puncture
    cast Puncture
    cast Backstab
    cast Savage Strike

Would'nt it do the same thing? Is it because you might cast Puncture with 4 combos points on the target?

Sometimes you need to use puncture, or backstab separately. As you could be refreshing puncture to early, and waste a few GCD's.

I can already tell you not having Melted Skin with that build is a huge mistake.

I ran nearly the exact same build for weeks, only with the difference of having Melted Skin, no Sprint, and 2 in Efficiency.

Is a 5% damage boost that good? Yes.

Still I think you would find a 51 point Sin build is best. I switched to 51 Sin after I got all the hit I needed from gear and no longer needed the Hit from BD.

Serpent Strike really is that good. And Blade Tempo is weaker then you think, and not worth the investment into BD, especially if you no longer need the +Hit.

I despise sin entirely. This is why I stated (thus far) its the best consistent DPS build i've found.

Trust me, i'd rather be something along the lines of 46 Nightblade/?/? but this is just the best i've found.
