    Default BD/Sin/Rifstalker build

Hey fellas I'm pretty new to Rift (just started playing about 5 days ago) and I currently have a level 23 rogue. I'm really intrigued by the blade dancer class so I am trying to build a suitable DPS build primarily around it.

This one in particular focuses on Blade Dancer and Assassin heavily, and I'm pretty damn sure it would have a hell of a lot of constant damage output.

Anyway, check it out, and give me some feedback!

You're going too deep into Assassination in my option and you should also drop Riftstalker for Nightblade. From the build and from what you've said I'm gathering this is only for DPS (dungeon/raid). In which case you need to drop some points from Assassin and put points into Nightblade. Nightblade offers substantial increases to DPS.

I'm not sure how Blade Dancer holds up in raiding DPS-wise, but in alpha/beta it was behind. I main Blade Dancer, but it's mainly for PvP purposes (which I would recommend something completely different to what I have linked). I've been tasked with tanking for my guild. I still don't think it'll be as good as primary Assassin or Nightblade build. You'd have Hellfire Blades and crit poison for your two weapon enchants. Forget the damage increases from stealth since you're not going to be in stealth that often especially for boss fights which is where your DPS is going to be most important.

Anyway, if you want to run Blade Dancer primary as your PvE DPS build I definitely respect that because I love the soul myself. This is something more similar to what you'd want to run in a pure DPS situation:

Yeah I think you're right. There really is no point in having Riftstalker in there if I'm only going to put 5 into it for the attack power boost. I like the build you linked me a lot, i'll definitely check it out.

Blade Dancer/Assassin/Riftstalker works nicely for PvP (it's what I use for solo leveling too since I'm on a PvP server), but there's no need for it if you're wanting DPS gains.

Great dps build, I will have to try it as well. With a good tank you should not have to worry about mobs hitting you

Crap I'm at work and can't see Zam links :-(

Anyhooooo. I'm 28 atm and can really say that 13 pts in RS for the combo healing on mob death is friggin super sweet. The rest of my points are in BD and I can say that's it's really fun to play. I had someone see me CHARGE! something, and drag 5 mobs together and by the time they came to "help" I was still at full health and full energy and the mobs were dead.

I didn't realize that BDs had a charge till last night when I spec'd into it. MIGHT get Sin back as my 4th role, but I'm really itchin to get 51 points in BD atm.
At first ppl were knocking the soul but it's neat in the late 20s IMO.

I've really enjoyed it so far, and I think I will keep riftstalker for now since I am on a PvP server as well and leveling. I'll have to save Nightblade for when I get closer to 50

Based solely on PvP though I'd say Rifstalker and Bladedancer would make a hell of a combination!
