    Question Strength vs Dexterity

    Based on this thread, especially:

However, as you can see in my first point, we sort of took over their role anyway, so maybe it's only fair.
    And the attributes modified by Strength and
    Dexterity, I think I (at least) am doing it wrong, I am choosing dex over str and we should do a balance I guess. That is why, again, I guess, warriors hit stronger than rogues. Using common sense rogues cap dex while warriors cap str.

    Has someone done math about this? if not we can do it. I am working but the proxy filters almost everything.

    Rock is overpowered.
    Paper is fine.

    hmm are you talking about the rogue class as a hole or just the melee rogue?

    My MM can out dps a warrior in a AoE fight by over 600% all i see in a aoe fight is 500 on all 8 mobs every sec xD & on bosses my MM reset on all his cds I'm sure I can beat a warrior in = gear or be in a very dam close 2nd + some bosses move around & melee lose up time.

    It should balance out end-game.

    For warriors:
    AP = (STR* .75) + (DEX * .25)

    For Rogues:
    AP = (STR * .5) + (DEX * .5)

    So warriors will get more AP by stacking STR than rogues stacking DEX, however DEX also gives both crit chance so while the STR stacking war will hit harder, a DEX stacking rogue will crit more often (theoretically with the crit hitting harder than the warriors non-crit).

    This is exactly the reason Rogues should stack Dex.

    Str gives ONLY .5 AP + Parry (our parry rating return seems to suck)
    Dex gives .5AP + Crit Rating + Dodge ( Our Dodge rating return is decent)

    Alot of gear has STR and DEX, and you would be giving up a few points for an item with only dex because a single stat item has less TOTAL points than multistat items of the same level.

    Personally I try to find Dex + End gear for survivability. The instant respawn rate has killed me quite a few times.

    As I read
    :
    1pt dex = 0.5pt attack power, 0.41% crit hit + dodge.

    So if it is truth you need 294 dex for 100% critical hit.

    Anyone can confirme the 0.41% value?

    Dexterity
    1:1 Crit
    2:1 AP
    X:X Dodge

    STR
    2:1 AP
    X:X Parry
    Rogues can't block anyways.

    What I've been doing is, 100% focus on Dex. The only time I won't take an item with more dex, is if I lose more than 2x the STR I gain in Dex.

    Though for Tanking you want both, for the extra parry.

    That changes per level
    I currently have 220 Dex at level 36, and still am chilling around 11-12% crit

    So 1p dex = 0.05/6% crit. It has more sense to me.

    No. 1 point of Dex gives a different amount of crit chance depending on your level. At lower levels, 1 dex will give more crit than it will at higher levels. It is not a static value.
