    Default Warlock help please

    I am not a big fan of the necro pet even though it does great damage, I am looking for warlock dps builds without the neco soul any thoughts? Please post some build ideas...

    still in beta, still ability changes, nobody knows lvl 50 gameplay, no cookie-cutter builds possible ...

    post your build, we can give feedback, that's the only way it works atm

    I dont think warlock will be a dps mashine compared to some of the other souls tho. Im preety sure souls like SC and Pyro will blow warlock out of the water in the dos department, elementalist later on as well. Warlock is more about survivabillity, and debuffs etc.

    How do you feel about the elemental pets? IMO, even if you don't want to use the pet, I don't think you can go past the 5% death damage (which is all warlock damage) in the first tier of the necro soul. I also don't see pyro as a complimentary soul, to me it's more of a primary soul. Having played the betas up to 20something on my necrolock, I didn't see any resistance on the mobs (though that might change) so I didn't see a need to have alternative damage types (ie, fire and death magics) for when I came up against death-based mobs.
    Anyway, if it's just the undead pets you dislike, and you're happy with a little elemental (though the air elemental looks like ***) then warlock/elem/chloro looks like a good fit together.

    Warlock feels like it's more AoE spec, it's good damage there's no doubt about that.

    i assume it's for pve only:

    - you missed nature's touch + 20 points in chloro for the instant rezz, -2 archon (snare and exhilaration) cause warr should have enough armor
    - natural awareness > acc. growth ... all dmg + crit increase > 5% life dmg only ... it's should be more or less always up due to radiant spores, which doesn't aggro mobs, means are cast-able pre-fight
    - vitality/raised in nature/acumen only works with your base health+health from base endurance and base intelligence, not with +stats from gear/buffs... not worth it imho
    - why not imp. voidbolt? there should be enough time in your rotation for some 1,5s VB's
