Thread: What racial ability would be best for a PvP mage?

    Default What racial ability would be best for a PvP mage?

    Right now I'm leaning towards the Eth's agility, also like the fact that they get +10 Int and with mages being gimped in damage so much seems like the only race worth rolling a mage on. Input?

    I would have to agree personally, it seems the best racial for a mage.

    I have to go for the falling damage reduction of a Dwarf. You know how many times I've jumped from very high places to escape a plate wearer? NOT ONCE! Because Warriors have more health, and therefore the reduction from falling damage really doesn't do SQUAT!!!

    I don't really care about racials anymore. I'm going Kelari because they actually look alright/cool :>

    For PvP only you might want to consider Bahmi. They get that 20m, ground target, jump, every 30secs or so, nice for jumping away from melee or out of spell range and kiting. 10int wont be much in endgame I dont think. Gear at lvl 20 has close to that much on 1 item.

    Dwarf so when you do get ganked, you don't have to wait very long when falling to the ground.

    The racials don't seem to matter much anymore.

    I chose Bahmi just because I like them.

    In beta 6, the sprint racial didn't end in combat though you could only cast it out of combat.. So you could pop it and engage. Could be useful.

    This. If you're min/max'ing, Eth. You get the +10 int plus a ridiculously abusable 70% Movement speed buff for 15 seconds at the start of combat. That should be more than enough time to get off a starting rotation on someone while being untouchable.
