    Default Not that i will play a mage but this is wrong !

    necromancer

    * Essence Link: Now reduces healing done to the enemy by 30% and no longer reduces Death resistance.
    * Plague Bolt: Reduced damage.

    Go Go Trion why not remove all dmg from mages ? Devs you should take some sleep ? and think again ?

    They did, they buffed pet damage.

    Nobody will ever cast plague bolt anyway.

    They changed most abilities that were either -resistance or +% damage to a specific magic type to being a lesser effect for all magic types. Removing the death resist from our spell was just part of that. In the end they didn't want a raid to required to have a necro for that debuff and that's a good choice.

    Not requiring certain classes for raids dillutes gameplay down to the lowest common denominator. By requiring certain raids to use certain classes you create unique raid experiences and dynamics, as well as provide off classes with a role. Otherwise we all will just pick the best spec for the raid and all be the same class.

    This has long been a fear of raid designers since basically forever.

    It'll back fire but I'll just do it anyway. WoW is going, and has been going, the exact opposite of what you're saying and it's working out well there.

    except with spreading out buffs all over - some classes have become useless in WoW raiding because there are classes that give the same buffs and perform better

    This entire post seems like a contradiction to me.

    And yet people are still playing pretty much all classes in raids.

    They actually buffed pets much higher for people who invested points into the soul. The people that didnt invest points and only used it as a 0 point pet would say it was nerfed though. But for people playing the class as a main it was a definite buff. and they buffed pets again for this upcoming beta. So what if our nuke gets lowered.. we are pet classes after all.

    If our nuke is nerfed we won't use it or spend points in the talent for it making the tree even more bloated with worthless talents.

    Plague Bolt *must* be more useful and at least as practical to use as void bolt and right not it's not even close. Keeping up dots, using soul purge, and casting a nuke. That nuke best be useful and quick to fit and PB is neither.

    As far as I'm concerned the plague bolt nerf means nothing. As far as I can tell it is designed as a rotation filler spell (atleast with a necro/lock/ 0 point tree combo) until you obtain grave rot. I can take the other nerf as long as the pet was buffed. It felt a little weak last beta and would die very easily without soul purge. Plague bolt will almost never be used because it is better to be refreshing the dots which is what necro/locks will be constantly doing to keep them up. Soul purge is the rotation filler for when all the dots are still ticking I believe.

    Do you not realize the healing decrease was doubles???

    That's more important than a death damage increase... That is actually a pretty big buff...
