I don't even know where to start. Only thing these items need is infamous hashtag in their description. Pronzi already posted some good feedback - beat me to it - and I urge other mages to do so aswell. Right now this is some sort of a joke and slap in the face (not only to mages, all classes have ridiculous items)

haha, some of the items look more like a downgrade than an upgrade, the neck or trinket for example. all items (not just armor) should have upgrade paths to change stats and all items shouldnt have spell crit to begin with. noone need that crap.

dont know why the 2h staff has a heal proc. noone want that except a few players who only play chloro. why we cant get a combination of damage / heal proc like we have on wands atm? that should be on every weapon.

all i all t2 gear most of the time just look like a new but bad upgrade path of t1 gear.

Crunched the numbers, and the new set would give:

    +2394 spell power
    +1772.5 spell crit chance
    -1591 crit power

Two questions, as I haven't read about this elsewhere:

    1) How would that effect DPS?
    2) Are they making it so that there are no crit-power iterations of the gear at all?

It's basically cheap way to get people way below the cap, while farming marks for CP armor from the store.

I had suspected that was the case.

Seems like a bit of an underhanded way to go about it, really. They could just make the stats more balanced with each other instead of providing this bandaid fix.
