Default CP softcap, it does exist

40% appears to be the soft cap. Roughly 3120 cp.

Added 200 CP above 40% and gained 0.6% cp, or roughly 0.3% cp per 100.

So for raiding I'd recommend shooting for 3015 cp, With banner and feast that puts you at 3120.

Standard disclaimer, you can push higher with talents that gain passive cp bonus's like elementalist (LOL).

3133 actually, with the hard cap lying around 7033, making the soft cap where you'll want to start stacking other secondary stats.

I hit 40% at 3120, where are you getting 3133 from?

so that reduces the cp value in relation to SL quite a bit, if the SC was at 50% before, doesnt it?

in terms of stat weights i meant

Correct once you get to 40% softcap the value of cp drops considerably and SP is more preferred.

According to Sedvick it is. I do not know of anyone with 7,000+ cp to find out.

That also reduce the value of Phys/Spell Crit even more considering you get less out of crits now.

@ 3330 CP tooltip reads 40.50%, with Ravenous Instincts reads 50.50%
    @ 3194 CP tooltip reads 40.10%, + 10% with Ravenous
    @ 3066 CP tooltip reads 39.30%
    @ 2916 CP tooltip reads 37.30%

So would someone like to make an educated guess of what stat weight CP is worth after 3K CP? 0.25 maybe?

A few weeks back I had done a quick regression to estimate hitting the 40% CP softcap around 3125 CP. Using heyhomes 2 points of data (would love to find more data), it looks like past the softcap each point of CP is only 20% as effective as it is before the softcap.

    @ 3581 CP tooltip reads 41.10%

If the efficiency drop of CP past the softcap is linear, then it looks like CP cap is right around 7k for 50%. Thanks for the data!
