Default what consumables do i need as a DPS?

    I have:

    Feast of Domination
    Excellent Brightsurge Vial
    Luminescent Powerstone
    Healing & Mana Pots

...but I think I'm missing something else. Or is this pretty much the standard list? Thanks in advance!

That's the standard stuff. You can also use Archaic Tablet (+60 Wis) and Petrified Rune (+60 Int) before each pull but they are consumed on death so I would consider them a more optional buff.

Insoles are a good idea, as are quickening brews and tempest mirrors.

Im confused, how much bad stuff (*which drains mana*) are you standing in that you actually NEED mana potions in SL?

Otherwise, add insoles to your list, a large number of mechanics in rift can always be solved more easily with runspeed.

For a "new" or progressing DPS, Endurance is king.

You are worth 0 DPS and a HPS lose if you are dead.

Have a 92 Endurance Seal, Excellent Enduring Vials, and Revitalization or Renewing Seeds.

You lose relatively very few stats for a HUGE gain in HP and survivability.

Comfortable Insoles are also good, helps get out of those mechanics faster!

Stay alive. Its much more important than 100 or so SP.

    Feast - tick
Stellar Brightsurge Vial - You can use Excellent but they aren't the top consumable
Stellar Endurance Vials - You can use Excellent but they aren't the top consumable
    Luminescent Powerstone - tick
Luminescent Manastone - optional (for OH)
    Comfortable Insoles
Metamorpic Rune* - expensive if you're wiping a lot but worth it IMO
Renewing Seeds - Same as above, spec/stat dependent ofc
Consuming Flame - sometimes you just want that tiny bit more dps....
Healing pots - I use Stellar pots and Stellar tonics (situational use)
    Healing philters
    Stellar Mana tonics
Panacea (I hardly ever use it, but have found it a lifesaver, and thus a raid saver, on occasion so I keep a small stack)
Charged Mirror - again, a small stack can provide useful on occasion

*Archaic tablets for Wisdom boost and mana return, but you're a Mage so I would assume Int is more valuable

I also have a Endurance seal for high aoe damage progression.

As you can see, I like to be prepared, pick and choose from the above depending on what you like/want/need. Hope that helps.

There are some fights and specs that you can run out of mana. Shaman will run out of mana (if you aren't using a tablet) in just short of 5 minutes doing ST only if it isn't disconnected. Throw in a little AoE like on Matriarch and you will likely need a pot. During progression on Regulos it's a pretty good idea to have mana pots around. Sure, if you screw up you probably aren't going to meet the later checks, but surviving long enough to see a new phase is more important than causing a death or doing nothing (dps too low, mechanics change). Everyone makes mistakes, pots help people recover from them.

I'm not dying a lot due to mechanics or low HP so I'm going for offensive potions right now. My guild has only killed the first three bosses in FT so I don't know if I can still have the same survivability against Crucia (we'll try her on Fri). I heard the orbital strikes or whatever you call them does a lot of damage so I will write down your list in case my HP becomes a problem and make a quick run to the AH... thanks!!!
