Sorry i was referring to the PTS only, not live. No mobility is an exaggeration of course, but having glyphs of power on makes me turn into that guy who minimizes movement AMAP, eg stutter stepping during instant casts etc. With warlock you can whatever the **** you feel like during instants. And if you do need to move, missing 1 VIOD bolt isn't the end of the world.

What's baffling is that these changes were apparently made to make the soul easier to play, but it's not easier to play. Pyro is redundant with how Warlock looks -- it's less mobile, has worse target switching, is much more complex, remains unforgiving, and does about the same DPS.

Yeah 2.2 is looking like warlock, harb, or expert dungeons.
Fulminate nerfs </3 for PvP. It would be nice to see the same amount of effort be put into pyro as it was warlock.
To be honest I would be a fan of scrapping withering flames and adding a more unique INSTANT pyromancer ability to the table vs another immobile boring channel that consumes charge. Pyromancer needs some "umph". Give us a filler to use maybe every 8 seconds or so, it would add some flow to the rotation.

Fusillade needs to be taken off that 10 second shared cooldown, It totally messes with rotations being like that and makes it clunky. Keep extinguish and flame sigil on it though

With the latest changes up on PTS now I'd really appreciate seeing some or your parses for the latest Warlock, Pyro and Pyro/Harb specs in the PTS parsing thread. These changes aren't set in stone and I'd like to make any changes to them while there's time to let you all see them ahead of time on PTS.
The 10% listed in the Fulminate ability description is incorrect. Currently the bonus is 15%, but that is still subject to change.
I will repost what I got on PTS in case you've missed it.
With raid box gear with no cape no trinket no consumable self buff only. (I did not use CA to minimize RNG and its still a nightmare to use with opportunity which is still not addressed in 2.2 set 2) (sorry I used simple meter and did rough parses 3 times each, 5:30 a piece)
61wl/8pyro/7necro On wounded raid boss dummy 62+: 16000-16300 dps
61wl/8pyro/7necro on raid boss dummy no death door: 13000-13500 dps
So on average its 14500 dps overall thru out the fight (low compare to tempest warriors and not beating 61 tempest and riftblade in ST and AoE)
61Pyro /8 archon/7 Harb: 14500-15000 (low and not beating 61 tempest and RB in ST and AoE)
44/32 Pyroharb: 16600-17000 (good)
61harb/8pyro/7ele 16000-16300 (good)

For reference according to warrior forum with raid box gear
61 Tempest varients is 16500 on average (max at 17k).
61 Riftblade is 15500 on average.
we are currently very low ranged dps compare to warriors on PTS unless we go pyroharb which is melee and will only beat 61 tempest by a little bit if RNG allows it.

#434 Probably had to be, and even more so if wanting to keep Lock in line with CA as the only Opp. proc down the line.
But gotta love those unmentioned changes when work is being done on their behalf to somewhat fix the horribly unbalanced souls since the SL launch. This is not a changing of abilities on our behalf, but a shortcut to making every spec 61 and hitting as close as possible to a certain mark. It has to be easier to play the game to manage it easier with much fewer people, and since they don't have much time and are rather clueless when it comes to their own game this is by far the easiest way to do it. Not far off, huh Kervik ;)
