Default Intensify Elements Question Regarding Damage

Ok so it reads Increases Damage Done by 100% obviously its a pet buff and thats for him! Now the question is it says mages ELEMENTAL damage done by 50% not damage done, so this is assuming YOURE using Elementalist Spells, is it just me or does this actually not work for fireball or anything else for that matter?

    It increases all elemental damage.
So it buffs Water, Earth, Air and Fire damage by 50%.

But it doesn't affect Life, Death or Physical damage.
Which I thought was a bit weird but I did test it a while back.

yeah thats def weird. I have been playing with the Fire/Ele mix up and im finding 38/28E to be more Superior then the 31E build. I just find it losing to much fire damage only for a 2 minutes cooldown no? Whats the difference in DPS?

Which is a crying shame because i would have loved to try out a chloro/ele build for pvp

    You definitely want Intensify Elements.
The extra 3.6% permanent fire damage doesn't outweigh the 1/8 uptime on IE's 50% bonus.
Plus if you stack it with Heatwave it's even more potent.
Go 35 Pyro and 31 Ele
    Nope.

You know I haven't played Pyro/Ele since last November before Patch 1.6 introduced Spark so I actually don't remember.
Probably Pyromancer's Armor though in a build something like this: http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=0z....Vthz0xoAzz.-7

Ignite may be worth using but again I'm unsure.
    Nope.

Back then you used Pyromancer armor was equal if not better than fire armor.

Pyro/ele is a cute spec, not better than other PvP specs but it has its moments of awesome.
