Default Staff Of Eternal Flame - Scarn - Master Mode Drop

Just want to share this staff I got off of master mode in Darkening Deeps. Drops off of Scarn.

It has a cool flame animation at the top.

I was curious if this was one of the items mentioned here in the 1.5 patch notes...

"There are rumors of a few super-powerful items to be found as well!"

More like Staff of Ugly Flame. Doesn't look super powerful, just a regular tier 3 staff... how's the proc? I'm guessing a crappy ~10 DPS like the others.

I'm still waiting to parse it and see.

It actually looks pretty cool, lol. Eye of the beholder, I guess.

I'm still using my p8 staff over this unless I need the focus for HK.

My first thought was the "Super-powerful" weapons would be relics, but I couldn't imagine one dropping in Darkening Deeps master mode after I ran through it and found it not to be as difficult as a relic drop dungeon should be.

So I'm wondering if this is what they consider "Super-powerful" item from a Master-mode dungeon.

I couldn't imagine them handing out a better item than a relic drop from a T1 Raid.

master mode are a step ahead of t2, one step before 10man t1 raids so "super powerfull" has to be considered as for a full-t2 geared player, not from a full hk relic perspective..

I parsed it at around 4 dps. Enjoy.

Wow. Why do they even waste server resources on this?

I just ended up parsing it and the first run it added 13 dps, and the second run(which was longer) added 12 dps.

    What a proc of sh!t.

I mainly posted this to possibly clarify the thought that the "Super-powerful" drops won't be relics which others have thought they might be.

Oh that's disappointing. We got a cleric dps 1hander, and our cleric passed on it because he had better from tier 1 raids too.

Oh well, at least i know I don't have to obsess over it for a loot I MUST have.

actually I could see clerics going for that staff, its slightly better than the staff of excess, which as far as I've been told is a good staff for clerics.

also not a bad upgrade for those using the tormentor's staff either.

for reference: side by side stats

    Staff of Eternal Flame
    int 55 wis 37 sp 496 crit 35 focus 61 dpsrating 35.3
mage derived stats: 542sp, crit 90
cleric derived stats: 537.5sp crit 90

    staff of excess
    int 57 wis 33 sp 496 crit 31 focus 64 dpsrating 35.3
mage derived stats: 541sp, crit 88
cleric derived stats: 535sp crit 88

and that actually makes it the highest crit RaidT1 staff in the game, go figure.

That's not to bad. Can't expect it to out perform raid gear.
