    Default Noob chloro tip

Was struggling to learn this chloro spec then found under Settings/Interface/Combat a checkbox for "Cast on Target's Target." Wow, this single setting made my life so much easier. Regular macros don't work with it, but it made this noob much more efficient. Basically just focus on tank and you can cast offensive and healing spells. Whew!

The downside is low mob awareness. Since all I see is the focused tank, I don't know the health of the mob I'm casting at. Any tips on this would be appreciated.

Do you have Target's Target enabled in your UI? Not the 'cast on', but the actual window?

While regular macros don't work with it, you can make macros that do the same thing.

    e.g.

    cast ruin
    cast @targettarget ruin
    cast vile spores
    cast @targettarget vile spores

There is also a mouseover and mouseoverui macro command which helps for party spot healing. You can put this into your settings as well if you want.

I set my tank/heal-target as my focus, and use cast @focus, and then use my main target on the mob.

You still have to work to be aware. Especially in pugs you get a lot of tanks that load threat and then relax.... so, their mob dies, and you aren't doing damage cuz they haven't targeted next mob. Or, they tab target and you pull more trash cuz you cast at an unfortunate time.
In the first case, you stop healing, in the second, you greatly increase the work you have before you lol.

Works great until you meet a tank that tabs through mobs a lot and occasionally tabs one that isn't part of the group you're fighting. Especially fun on raids.
