Devouring Shadows is too strong in PVP

It does some of the highest single-target DPS when properly spammed, and it's capable of making strong burst absurd. And it's AOE.

Something really needs to be done about it. I don't like asking for nerfs, but our class and specs shouldn't be so strong because of something so silly.

if it required some sort of skill to use, then i'd be ok with the damage. but this could be worse than the way warriors were in the past (and perhaps still are) with their 2 button tralalas. so if you're gonna call out your own class, sure i'll agree :P

I forgot to mention it's also bad design. An AOE ability being so close to single-target spells makes using AOE or not a non-decision. That's simplistic, bad gameplay. AOE vs. single target should be a strategical choice depending on how many targets are in the field, not an obvious choice because the AOE spell barely loses any single-target damage. Otherwise, why differentiate from AOE and single-target spells at all?

It's only strong if you're using Empowered Darkness, which is a 51 point skill so it BETTER hit like a truck.

It is basically a joke without Empowered Darkness.

You want DS damage nerfed, but you'll accept the Cab nerf, which was beyond pathetic. I didn't solve the issue at all, which was damage...instead, the radius is "smaller", and they have to inch forward more often. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay..../sarcasm

Honestly, at this point I've decided this is how Trion will kill their own creation. I'm along to see how long until people sick of it.
