Default MY Deathly Calling being consumed by OTHER Necromancer Mages pets!

I noticed it tonite in a raid rift, and decided to test it on the training dummy.

I put grave rot on the training dummy, and had my necro guildmate attack the dummy with his pet, and sure enough, the pet immediately began devouring my stacks of deathly calling like my roommate devours my bags of cool ranch dorritos when I dont hide them from her.

This is a problem, and needs to be fixed.

You'll have to explain that one, since my own pet is losing the benefits of deathly calling due to the other necro pets eating my stacks, which means my own dps suffers.

How is this good, for anyone except the other mage?

Because you can assign 1 necrolock to keep looming demise and deathly calling up, allowing the other necrolocks to focus purely on a maximum dps rotation. Assuming a 20 man raid having 5 mages, 1 of which is chloro and 1 archon, 2 necrolocks having a 3rd apply the debuffs for them will yield higher dps for the 3 of them than having to apply the debuffs individually.

I prefer having one necro assigned to plague bolt duty.

if your necros arent maintaining their own stacks they blow. Simple as that.

I would maintain my own if it was actually worthwhile to do so.

Whatever kazzin, share the love. You put up stacks, and then they put up stacks. You're pet is eating theirs too so don't worry about it.

I think the point is that maintaining DC stacks is a DPS loss for the mage half of a Necro, and a DPS gain for the pet half of the Necro. If only one Necro has to maintain them then every Necro's pet half will be hunky dory while all but one Necro can boost their mage half DPS.

If that didn't make sense then take away this: I agree with Kazzin.

Think of it this way, if there are 3 necrolocks, and each pulls 1200 by themselves.

But if only one necrolock is laying down the stacks he maintains 1200 alone, and the other 2 theoretically make it up to lets say 1450 or even 1300. What one person sacrifices (100dps that they don't actually have) generates 2x the amount of dps.

A raid is all about the group, if you suffer a small dps loss to increase overall dps it's a good thing. l2b socialist.

No, it's quite easy. But again, if it wasn't a DPS loss, I would do it.
