Default PvP Build: Mage Anti Ninja Build

Ok this is my first guide!

I am only posting this because of the originality of this build, I use it almost everytime at Codex, when I am not using my Chloro / Lock basic build.

Maybe its not as original as I think it is, somebody must have figured it out already, but just in case, I am posting so other players can enjoy it, or even comment it or pair it with another souls.

Well, I made this build as a healer/support spec for PvP, specially for Codex, as Rogues are abusing of Stealth abilities to silence you when you are about to capture an enemy flag.

    51 Chloromancer / 15 Archmage / 0 Archon

Well, 51 Chloromancer anybody know how to work, You will have complete healings tools at your disposal.

But the key to this build is Archmage's Tier 3 Skill: Ward of Detection.

It is an AoE skill that you place at any Codex flag and it lasts 30 seconds. Any rogue stealthing around will be immediately unhidden and it has a cooldown of only 30 seconds so you can use it pretty much anytime you want at any flag.

Besides, you have, from Archmages' Tree:

    - 15% less chance to be critically hit by playersç
    - 5% less physical damage
    - 20 seconds less cooldown for Break Free
    - When stunned or silenced (eg: By a rogue) you get 10% of your mana back.

Archon tree: Searing Vitality (5 Stacks = 50+ Endurance = 450+ HP) and Pillagin Stone (5 Stacks = 50+ INT = 50+ Critical and 25+ Spell Power). Archon Skills you can use on dummys before joining a Warfront.

Chloromancer tree, I use following macros:

Main PvP Spam Attack Macro Button
Main PvP Attack Spell (I Bind it to Keyboard Key Number 2)

    #show Vile Spores
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast Natural Conversion
    cast Radiant Spores
    cast Ruin
    cast Nature's Fury
    cast Vile Spores
    cast Searing Vitality
First one is Natural Conversion. I macroed because I always forget to use it. The next spell cast by enemy will heal his target for 200% of damage spell.

Then comes Radiant Spore's. Radiant Spore's is awesome. Everyone attacking an enemy with Radiant Spore's will receive 6% healings and 16% of chance to get 100% healing from damage done to target. So its awesome!

Then basic Ruin, Nature's Fury and Vile Spores. Just spam this button and you will have extreme raid healings for your team mates.

Searing Vitality is just as a filler for you when you are moving up, its a DoT from Archon Tree.

Raid Healings / Attack Spell: Void Life
Void Life spell I bind it to keyboard key "3" and use it as a filler, it is channeled, does tick life damage, and is great for use with LGV for raid heals. Use it whenever you can specially on main targets being attacked by other friendly players.

    Self Healing: Bloom
Bloom I use it most as a self healing, I just mouse over my icon and press it, so I can heal instantly, for when things start to get hairy and your HP is under 60~50%. I bind id to keyboard key "4"

    #show Bloom
    suppressmacrofailures
    stopcasting
    cast @mouseoverui Bloom
    Raid Healings: Flourish
Flourish provides Raid Healings and I use it everytime, as soon as it comes off cooldown. I bind it to Key Number 5 so I can use it everytime

    #show Flourish
    suppressmacrofailures
    stopcasting
    cast Flourish
    Clean: Nature's Cleansing
Well I bind this to Keyboard Key "D". Most people underestimate this skill, but its a must against Dominators. Why? Because you need to use it when you see a lot of curses / debuffs at your buff's bar. I just spam key "D" when I see I am cursed to hell, and pretty much all Dominators skills can be cleansable using this. You can also clean other players as well, by moving your mouse over your friend square at raid panel as long as he is in range. So this key is part of your "oh ****" buttons as well.

    #show Nature's Cleansing
    suppressmacrofailures
    stopcasting
    cast @mouseoverui Nature's Cleansing
Natural Splendor: Raid Healings for Melee Players
This is a channeled spell, that works like Void Life, that does great channeled damage, except that will heal only players within melee range from target. Use it when you have a target which has melee players attacking him and taking too much damage, because this spell heals a lot. Use it carefully because it has a long cooldown of 2 minutes.

    #show Natural Splendor
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast Natural Splendor
    Living Shell
I bind it to "-" key its a shield that absorves 831 damage and return 2% max mana/sec. I use this when I start to get beaten up.

    **** Button
This is the **** button. Change "Brasil" for your player name. This will heal you completely. I use it when I have HP below 20%.

    #show Essence Surge
    suppressmacrofailures
    stopcasting
    target Brasil
    cast Essence Surge
    Dedicated Heal Button
I almost never use this spell, but it's good on Black Garden to keep flag carrier up. Because it has a cast time of 2.5 seconds I personally think it takes ages to cast a 2.5 spell that heals for 1.000 HP. Anyway I have it macroed on Button 8 so I can use it when a target is getting beaten up a lot. I personally think that damage spells Nature's Fury, Ruin, Vile Spore's and Void Life is more worth to cast then using only Natural Healing, because Natural Healing is single and the damage spells are raid, when you use, of course, Lifegiving Veil.

    #show Natural Healing
    suppressmacrofailures
    cast @mouseoverui Natural Healing
I hope you guys enjoyed it.

And feel free to post comments, suggestions, etc...

Way to give away the secret. No one even knew there was a defensive side to Archmage.

Someone needs to make a guide on how to play mage without 1 button macros. I have a feeling that's desperately needed.

ultra-specialistic build - would be nice if we had infinite role slots but with only five its hard to justify to bring this over something with more wide usefulness.

Yes, I already posted this into General Discussion --> Suggestion section of this forum.

I suggest to have 8 or 10 slots, which Trion needs to consider this as fast as possible because I am going nuts reseting specs...

I had to give away my Raid: DPS and Raid: Healings specs to have:

    1) PVP: Heal (51 Chloro / 15 Lock)
    2) PVP: Solo (38 Chloro / 28 Lock)
    3) PVP: DPS (51 Lock)
    4) PVP: Dominator (51 Dom)
    5) Raid: Archon

Now I only have 51 Archon spec to help at Daily Raid Rifts.

I had to replace 4) PVP: Dominator for 4) PVP: Anti Rogue spec for use at Codex because I got sick of stealthing rogues silencing and protecting flags at Codex.

I don't think its worthless imho.

Silent Restoration is worthless, but 20 seconds less cooldown for Break Free is great, Ward of Detection is great because sometimes rogues go stealth when they start getting low HP, which is pretty annoying.

5% less physical damage could be changed to 10% less physical and resilient could be 25% instead of 15%.

So this way the defensive line of Archmage's tree would be more tempting.

    Just my 2 cents.

P.S.: Rune Shield is worthless but Detaunt and Degeneration are great.

Hm I agree with both sides to this:

Yes I would use this to counter stealthed rogues who are super annoying granted

Yes I also agree that this is very specialised.

Would only put this as a role if my guild decided it would be role in a premade.
