    Default Hammerknell Chloromancer

Wanted to get thoughts on this spec for HK specifically.

Pros: Opportunity Proc from Warlock soul as well as 10% more INT from Dom.

Cons: No Void Life, is it possible to heal without it as a tank healer?

If you plan on healing a tank in HK, you'll need VL. Another 5 in Lock gets you 10% more HP, another huge plus for HK.

Yeah I was thinking of going back to the 15 pts in lock, but the 10 in dom is very useful, with reflects / deny.

If you are tank healing void life is a *must have*

It's not a must have at all. It is preferred, but you can heal very well without void life. People believe just spamming void life is good, well it's ok you'll dish out some decent HPS. Not what I would call a good choromancer though.

    My specs are

    51chloro/10lock/5ele
51choro/10domi/5ele (useful on matron for hideous blast, don't reflect Ichor though, no no!)
    GSB 5/5 ROS 4/4 GP 4/4 DH 4/4 HK 10/10

Chloromacers who macro their spells suck

51 chloro are not needed where well geared and versed purifiers keep tanks alive and well, hybrid clerics fill them back up, aoe chloros who do the most dps out of any damaging while healing setups the clerics and mages have, keep the continuous Heal over time going, which will almost always be on the tank because chloros smart heal

If your DPS actually put up the numbers they should, 51 Chloro is the way to go. I'm not sure what people are smoking when they say Void Life isn't great. It's amazing because it heals far faster than any sort of cast bar rotation. You get 1 tick per second, faster heals than the GCD. That is invaluable for ANY fight where you are taking steady AoE damage, even if you are AoE healing. And that's not even considering that it is the highest tank HPS skill that you can get (while using NT on opp. proc).

I guess I understand the point of an "off healer" in some situations, but not in raids. Everyone should be maximizing their healing or maximizing their DPS and if they're properly doing that, there's no need for a Chloro/Lock (not to mention a Cleric can hybrid dps/heal far better than us and with far more utility).

    GSB: 5/5, RoS: 4/4, HK: 10/11
    GP: 4/4, DH: 4/4

Opp NT > VL > all.
    Hence: 51 Chl / 15 WL / 0 Arch (the HP helps a lot, and 0 Arch > 5 Ele)

Let the Archon do the reflect thingy (11 Dom, 4 Ele or Pyro) - has been working very well for us that way back since when GP opened.
